The perfect place to stop for lunch while traveling to the cenotes and ruins in the area. Really clean, bright, fresh surroundings and food. All the food is made right there, and when you order food, someone works at the fire to make fresh tortillas. I had a chicken and rice soup with a pineapple juice and spinach drink. It was the picture of what lunch would be in my dream vacation - cheap, fun, low-key, special, delicious.

We stopped here for lunch and the food was amazing. Everything was made from scratch - including the handmade tortillas at the table next to us. We had the cochinita pibil (pork tacos), chicken fajitas, and guacamole - all absolutely delicious. The owner is very friendly and nice. He showed us his bees, and we also bought some of his honey. Highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant. My wife and I stopped for lunch and we both had one of the best meals of our vacation to Mexico. Staff was very welcoming and the food was exceptional! Tortillas were the best! I had the cream chicken and my wife had a quesadilla.

Very delicious, very fresh, very beautiful decor and setting, and very kind people! If you have your own transportation and are heading to Cobá, definitely stop here for food before you go all the way into town. It's the perfect place to start your day. Every tiny detail of the food is prepared completely fresh and perfectly. The handmade tortillas were absolutely the best I've ever had in my life and anywhere else in Mexico (I've been traveling through Yucatán and QR for over a month, so this is saying something.) I arrived at Los Gorditos at least an hour before opening time (by accident), but the very kind people there invited me in and served me an incredible breakfast anyway. I had the huevos con verduras, which I highly recommend (the veggies were perfect), coffee, and also the agua de piña con chaya, which is also delicious and very refreshing! If you happen to be staying in town, like I am, it's a nice mid-morning walk or a quick bike ride up to Los Gorditos. You will be very, very glad you tried it.
