Rating is for the restaurant. A four stars for the view but the service and quality of the food was lacking. I ordered mahi mahi requesting it to be seared and it showed up cooked through and burned on the one side. One of us ordered barracuda which the waiter kept pushing. It was small dry and boney. As for glasses of wine, they were very short pours not even coming close to a typical almost half glass. Mentioned the food to the waiter who just ignored the complaint. Desert never came so we just got the bill and left. There are too many quality places to eat, I’ll take a pass on returning here. Prices are high for even in pesos.

Wonderful pulpo, crisp tasty char on the outside and tender buttery goodness on the inside. . Great list of mescal. We had a Mexican Tempranillo with dinner that was memorable but the best part was the attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Also love the view and atmosphere.

I never review places I visit or stay, but I had to leave some comments about my recent stay at La Casa Que Canta. This was one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying. I was contacted a couple of days before my scheduled arrival and was informed that the neighboring property to the hotel was undergoing a renovation, so the staff offered to move me and my fiancé to their Villa Ensueno on the beachfront to minimize any possible disturbance. This was just the start of the things they did to accommodate us. They also offered to move us to a larger space at the Villa Ensueno once another party vacated. Both spaces were amazingly comfortable and private. We very rarely saw any other guest on our entire visit. The food at the hotel restaurant, Mar y Cielo, showcased local flavors and was always delicious. The staff went above and beyond and I am honored to thank them by name. Thank you to Teresa, Adriana, Ramona, Yesenia, Irving, Isabel, Fredi, Venustuvio, and my main-man Jose Luis. You should all be very proud of what you have created there. Apologies if I didn't get all of your names right or left anybody out. You were all wonderful. Cheers.

Wonderful place to share cocktails with friends and family. I did not stay here and thus can't contribute as to the quality of the accommodations. But I'm sure if they are anything like the bar service and decor... they are great!

Was looking for a place for me and my wife to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and we came across a couple places that we liked so we stayed to stay at both of them. Casa Que Canta was one of them. The staff and views were amazing. Talking to other guests they come back year after year. The rooms are the only thing that I was kind of disappointed in, we splurged at the other place, so part of it is we had the smaller room here, but I did peek into some other rooms and I think it's time for an update. But the lobby and the rest of the hotel are super nice. The saltwater pool sounded like a good idea, but I think it'd be better just to have two normal pools. The location has easy access to La ropa beach and a pretty easy walk into town. If you are older and do not like stairs, I cannot recommend this place for you.

We spend a lovely three day weekend at Casa Que Canta. The resort is breathtakingly beautiful, and the service is flawless. Our suite was sparkling clean and well appointed, with a wonderful terrace and view. We ate at the restaurant three times, and loved the duck tacos, the white ceviche, and the guacamole — so fresh and well seasoned. We were very pleased to discover that check out time was at 1 pm, giving us plenty of time to linger. Finally, a big thank you to the staff that took care of us so wonderfully well in so unobtrusive a manner!

Amazing! Stayed in the Oceanfront Master 1 bedroom suite. One of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. The outside area was huge. The private infinity pool was so big. Lovely views. Staff was great. Breakfast was always good. I can't wait to come back.
