La Coral Beach House - 71983 Puerto Escondido

Let's be clear, it isn't a luxury hotel. But the rooms are clear and clean and have unbeatable views. The water is fresh and there is a lovely communal kitchen on the roof. The staff is like family, and it just feels like home immediately. Its perfect for medium to long stays. You basically have near private access to one of the most beautiful and least used beaches in the area. Snorkeling out your door. Walkable to all or Riconada. And suprisingly good Wi-fi (for Puerto Escondido)

Best view ever and i would say one of the nicest beach and its private only ppl from this otel and the one on top can go to coral beach alot of ppl try to enter but cant unless they go through the rocks Only bad thing is that there is no a/c and it gets hot? If you want to eat go to down town its like 10 minutes away and like 40 pesos on taxi everything expensive on the tourist side

Nice beach but don't enter in the hotel you have a entrance from Baja Bachoco????

Very, very bad experience. The staff, especially the foreign one, is unpolite. There are much better places to stay in Puerto Escondido, and cheaper, than this.

Stunning beach- surreal experience - what should be a stunning roof terrace has a few broken plastic chairs and no shade. The stay was begun by one of the owners offering the communal fridge for our use- a couple of hours later when retrieving a couple of beers I had placed in it I was aggressively challenged and humiliated in front of other guests by who I now assume is a co owner, as I had apparently broken a sacred rule. Mate -if you want to have a beer business maybe you should actually be around to sell some? Let’s just say hospitality is not the strong point in this odd place -cool pictures for your instagram but the “host” could spend a few quid on fairy lights and sun umbrellas if he has any left over after paying for online charm school. I won’t hold my breath and won’t be going back- such a shame- this place could be amazing!

If you stay at the Coral and you don’t enjoy your stay than it isn’t the place for you. It’s the best place to stay in Puerto if you love the beach and want to be in it every day. The views are incredible. The amenities are basic and that’s perfectly ok, you’re not staying here to bring all the comforts of your apartment all the way here with you, you’re staying here to get away from all that ? otherwise go to Cancun and pay twice as much to be pampered!

My partner and I reserved a room for the week of Christmas at La Coral Beach House. Upon arrival, we were told that we had to wait to speak to the owner before we could check in. The employee wouldn't tell us what was going on and was rude and aggressive. After hours of waiting we finally got to speak with the owner, a European woman. The owner proceeded to tell us that she didn't have a room for us...that the room I reserved didn't actually exist. We were very confused and explained we had made the booking weeks in advance and I showed her my confirmation. I then asked why she didn't contact me when she saw my reservation come in. She said "I just didn't get around to it" She spoke to me as if I was the one who did something wrong. We were shocked and confused. She then went on to tell us that she did in fact have a room available but it would cost double the amount. It was obvious to us that we were being lied to and that the owner was trying to scam us into paying more money for the room. We ended up staying one night because it was close to night time (we asked if she would honor the agreed upon price for one night and she refused...she told us we could sleep outside on the ground for that price). We were put in a family/dorm style room, even though the exact room we reserved was clean and available just down the hall from us. That room remained empty the whole night. We left the next day in search of a hotel on Christmas eve. The owner was unprofessional, rude, and insulting. A really bad experience for us. AVOID THIS HOTEL. From our own experience, the owner and her employee are not to be trusted.
