I felt a bit ripped off here. They were friendly but definitely taking advantage of my limited Spanish and exhaustion. The machine to pay “wasn’t working” and they wouldn’t let me just go pay inside. I didn’t have any cash, and then after they messed around with he machine awhile asked for a tip and then decided how much it was going to be and I pretty much had to comply. I don’t like being forced to pay extra all the time. I do actually speak some Spanish and was able to tell it was a big joke to them to get this money out of an American. Well I’m not American. I’m Canadian. I’m also broke so the more I get ripped off, the unhappier my attempt at a vacation is. It’s tiring. They all laughed as I drove off. Very frustrating.

We chose this gas station because it had the "best" reviews in the area. They were a little quicker than I would have liked, but there still wasn't any funny business, so we're happy to leave a review. Just follow our rules for avoiding a gas station scam in Mexico and you'll be fine!

Great gas station. Safe and clean. The staff is nice and take good care of you. If your buying gas in mexico and want to fill the tank up if you say tanque lleno (tanke yeno). Have safe travels.

Don’t let these haters persuade you. Know what you are doing. Pay cash, keep an eye on the pump and be aware of your surroundings. had a pleasant experience. Paid cash and denied windshield cleaning.

This was quick and painless. Not many people there around 3:30. I paid in dollars and made some talk with the attendants. No issue thankfully.

They scam tourists. Read the other comments as well, similar thing happened to me. Managers, if you want to investigate how this happened you can check the cameras and find out who did that. Apr 17, 2021, about 10:00 PM (unfortunately I don't know exact time). Pump 4 (maybe) from the left to right when looking on the station. My car is a grey VW sedan (rental). A guy started filling my car, and I told him I have only a payment card, and no cash. The other guy appears and the first guy started distracting me with a small talk. After washing the windows. I tipped the first guy. The second guy tries to use my card, it's declined. I give him another one, he says this one is also declined and there is a problem with the payment terminal. I ask if I can pay inside the gas station. The guys says no, but they accept dollars. The pump showed 1056 pesos (I though ok, maybe the price is just very high in Mexico), and they asked 59 dollars. Later I realized this is the special number they probably often use to cheat people. I gave him $70 us dollars. 2 bills: $50 and $20. They guy gives me back two bills $20 and $1 dollar and starts explaining me something for some reason in Spanish. Then his English became worse than before, and he starts telling me something in very bad English that I understood like, you need to give me $59, but not $21. He just swapped my $50 bill with $1. And then he said the payment terminal started to work again. So he got my $50 and wanted me to compete the payment by my credit card. I looked for cameras, and told him that there is a camera, and I gave him $70, not $21. After mentioning the camera, the guy immediately gives me back my change from $70 and I leave. I didn't pay attention at the gas station that my tank was 3/4 full, and the gas could not cost 1056 pesos. So when the first guy was distracting me with the small talk, the other guy was changing numbers somehow. Also they wanted to scam me twice.

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD. THEY RAN IT TWICE, WHICH MADE IT SAY DECLINED. GAVE THEM A NEW CARD AND THEY NEVER GAVE BACK MY FIRST ONE. NEXT THING I KNOW THERE ARE $2500 IN CHARGES. MY FAULT FOR NOT PAYING ATTENTION, BUT BE CAREFUL. THEY ARE DIRTY SCUMBAGS AT THE PUMPS

No issues as a tourist at this station. Attendant was very polite. Was able to stand outside and watch pump be zeroed and total properly calculated. Paid cash with small notes and let them keep the change (few pesos). No dramas.
