La rutina diaria constaba de visitas al mercado durante la madrugada
Antes de salir el sol iniciaba el proceso artesanal de preparar la comida y una vez caída la noche, lavaban la banqueta para que el olor de tierra mojada, tan característico de Guadalajara, le diera un toque hogareño al puesto que albergaba los sueños y la pasión de 3 personas. El silencio de la noche era interrumpido por los comensales que hacían fila para degustar la comida de La Gorda. Para la Gorda, Machelo, y la Abuela no habían días de descanso, ni se podían enfermar. Conforme llegaban los hijos, se integraban al negocio familiar con responsabilidades de acuerdo a su edad y sin descuidar los estudios. Josefina y Marcelino siempre se han preocupado por fomentarles el amor al trabajo, la responsabilidad, perseverancia y honestidad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buen servicio. Soy pozolero y el pozole se come caliente la salsa picante le falta se más picante. El sabor del pozole se demerita por lo frío pero aún se aprecia bueno.
Good service. I am a pozolero and the pozole is eaten hot, the hot sauce lacks more spice. The taste of the pozole is derated by the cold but still good.

La comida sigue siendo muy buena pero el servicio bajo bastante.
The place is beautiful, but it took them 15 minutes to attend us, they attended to people who arrived after us and if we did not speak to them we would continue without being attended to.
Very dry lemons have no juice,
The food is still very good but the service is quite low.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La atención buena, pero el pozole le falta sabor ya he comido en la gorda varias veces de la gran plaza, pero el sabor no mejora creo que.si deberían de poner más opciones en el menú.
Good service, but the pozole lacks flavor. I've already eaten at La Gorda several times in the big square, but the flavor doesn't improve, I think. They should put more options on the menu.

No soy particularmente fan del mole dulce, sim embargo el de éste lugar me gustó bastante

Antes ofrecían otras salsas para acompañar los platillos y te daban totopos antes de llegar con los alimentos y ya tienen unos meses que no. Quizá sea debido a la pandemia y el "gasto" que se genera pero los platillos no bajan su costo...
A mi familia y a mi nos gusta mucho pero si notamos ya algunas cosas.
I think they have lowered their quality.
Before they offered other sauces to accompany the dishes and they gave you tortilla chips before you arrived with the food and they haven't been for a few months now. Maybe it's due to the pandemic and the "expense" that is generated but the dishes don't lower their cost...
My family and I like it a lot but we have already noticed some things.
