Very small portions, little flavor. Take a pass, not worth it

La Noria is the restaurant across the street from the Las Palmas hotel in Matehuala. Its a good stopping point going in either direction from the Yucatan to the States or visa versa. I had the Stuffed Chile Relleno which was nice. It's a pretty big space and the times I have been there they never seem to be that busy. But we usually stop there when in Matehuala.

Best place in Matehuala to have a great meal! It's my first time here, but my favorite since now on; every time I'll be in transit over here, I'll eat in this beautiful place! 200% recommended!

Good service, selection, very clean. Ambience was very good. Will make a point of returning next time I am in town. American type standards and easy on/off from main roadway.

Service staff is okay. Sometimes they don't use common sense. They bring you one thing at a time. I gave it two stars because prices are similar to US (you can tell they cater to Americans)and you would expect good food....my "filete empanizado" was raw from the inside. You would think that they would ask if you'd like something else or at least offer an apology...nope! Instead they take my fish and dip it again in the fryer. Now the breading is burnt and fish is still raw inside. You decide not to eat it and ask for something else, they get mad and bring you burnt empanadas....customer service, nope! We won't be going back and I will be posting more negative reviews for this place.

Excellent meal as well as the service. We had chamorro en adobo and tacos of fideo with adobo, they took me back to my grandma's kitchen. For desert we had guava moose with Oreo cookies, it was light and refreshing. This is a place to enjoy your meal so don't be in a hurry. We will be back!!! Price and portions are more than fair.

So far, great. Cold beer, very hot (spicy) green sauce for chips, but very good in small amounts!! Red sauce delicious!! Menu looks great. I was under the impression it was a buffet but I guess that’s just at breakfast time. Had to use google translate- maybe a menu in English would be a good idea with all the travelers stopping off at Las Palmas Midway Inn where the food is sub par. Dinner was delicious!!
