Also the family running the hotel is very, very helpful, told us very good places to eat, visit, change money, etc. And is very close to the center - 5-10 min walking. I really recommend this place!

And the owners sweet and welcoming! Top notch!

La Piazzetta was one of the only hotels to pick up the phone at this hour, and they checked me in with so much warmth and attention at 3 am. Over the course of my stay they did more than I would have ever asked to help in my recuperation process and remembered little details that really took their hospitality above and beyond. I felt so well rested. The place feels cozy and eclectic yet bright, modern, and clean. They had great advice for ways to enjoy my time here, suited to my tastes, and were lovely to talk to. La Piazzetta transformed an unfortunate medical situation into an enchanting trip to Merida.

Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable with good beds and we slept well. The common areas of the hotel are also nice to relax in. The wifi worked great. The manager, Leo, was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. He is a native French speaker and full of tips about places to go and things to see here in Merida. The night watchman, Augustino, was also very friendly and introduced himself to us when we came back to the hotel after a night out. They also serve excellent coffee that is sourced from fresh beans from Chiapas.

There were many lovely additions to the room (bookshelves with books, little table, nice shower), all practical and at the same time charming. Good value for price.

La Piazzetta is conveniently located near everything, especially amazing food, but tucked away from the busy center. Exceptionally clean. The decor truly adds to the tranquil yet eclectic vibe. What is most commendable is the Piazzetta family. The owner and his family truly gives personal care and amazing attentiveness you will not find in any other hotel. The experience was very much like staying with a wonderful host family, but with hotel amenities. Highly recommend if you want personalized experience. Thank you Leo!
