★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Probadita is a store for mezcal connoisseurs. It has a decent range of mezcal from "wild" varietals (tobala, tepeztate, madrecuiche, etc). These are richer, more authentic, and more flavorful than the commercially available "espadín" varietal. You can get "espadín" mezcal in the US, the other varietals are extraordinarily rare because they cannot be mass produced.
