★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food and service were incredible. The plates are very well served and the meat of every steak I tried was delicious. Everyone makes you feel welcome and are pleased to meet your needs. The prices are not very cheap but the food and service makes up for it we spend about $80 with appetizer no alcohol drinks and 2 entrées.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an absolutely phenomenal Caesar salad with arrachera steak here. The staff constructed the salad at my table, whipping the yolk and emulisfying the anchovies with the other ingredients until arriving at a beautiful creamy dressing. The steak was cooked perfectly to my preference, and it was a quality cut, tender without being overly brined. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Malbec, from an estate just north of CDMX in Guanajuato (though the wine list does seem somewhat overpriced)
The staff at La Provoleta were friendly and provided a superlative level of service. This was absolutely a 5 star experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here is the story. I am wait 40 minutes for my steak with 3/4. When I got my steak is raw like 1/2. Then I have to wait 15 minutes to cook again. When I complain it. Manager told me and loud: that’s 3/4 as you order! What? I’m not comfortable with his attitude. We don’t really enjoy the food and service there. Then we not really finished the food. Later manager bring us cafe and cake to apologize his service.
Here is point: the cake is fantastic! If you come to this steak restaurant. You don’t need to order any meat. But please don’t miss this cake!!! ? that’s why I only put picture of cake!!!
When we left. Manager apologized again. He would like to service us again. Thanks but no thank. I may come back here for this cake. ?
Just don’t missed cake here!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a mixture of a steak house and an English Pub. There are big football screens and loud music. We ordered two sparkling water, to Margaritas, two glasses of red house wine and two steaks (not premium). Except for the margaritas, everything else was horrible. The steak was so undercooked that it could have been reincarnated by any mediocre vet. It was also marinated in salt. The chips were ice-cold, hard and disgusting. The wine tasted like a cheap house wine, but we ended op paying $ 12 per glass and the water was also ridiculously expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant was empty. After 40min we have received the appetizer and after more than 1h they have realized they forgot our main order. Three different waiters came and asked us what we want to drink and eat. Not receiving the order and on top we have been charged way more than we should have. No apology for forgetting our food, long waiting times and charging us more.
Not recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tranquil space. We sat upstairs and had excellent service. It was really quiet on a Monday.
To start they served us three salsas with bread and tortilla chips that were all delicious. My favourite was the pesto style.
I had creamed spinach, carne empanada and a small salad. My date had the chicken fajitas.
Serving size was good, the tastes were all delightful.
I would recommend this place to friends. Would like to return with a larger party to try more shared plates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toughest steak ever. Ordered the picana medium but it came out rare (see photo). I don’t mind rare steaks and while this one tasted good it was tough as shoe leather. Had to ask for a sharper knife which didn’t help.
When I complained to manager he offered to cook it more. I only laughed.
The Super Bowl was on TV so the waiters and cooks were more interested in the game and didn’t notice me (or didn’t care) trying to hacksaw my way through the steak.
I hope the owner is noticing the trend of bad reviews.
