Great place. Delicous quiche de cabra and brownies! Very nice and helpful Claire and Thomas. I highly recommend our favorit place in Puerto Morelos!

I came to this places couple days ago with my dog to try what they claimed ‘the best cake in town’ , there was no cake and not a lot of other guests... So I had something else and they told me to come back for this delicious cake. So I did! (aldo this place is a bit more expensive) BUT today all of the sudden I was not welcome with my dog (who’s small and was sleeping in a special dogbag)... if your search a good price/quality and decent service -> this is NOT the place to be! Many more good and friendly options in Puerto Morelos!

Great food & awesome couple that run This restaurant inside an amazing architectural building that is run as an Airbnb.... fantastic coffee I had a sweet omelet for breakfast and refreshing healthy drinks. They’re just getting their liquor license now March 2019 but are up and running well now and just to take in the amazing surroundings as you sip on your coffee is worth the walk. Enjoy

My husband and I stayed here as a birthday treat last week for 1 night. We've walked by countless times and were in awe just glancing from the outside. I was brought to tears when entering and absorbing the beautiful hand carved wood, the secret windows, the curves of the buildings, and the feel of being in a secret garden. It was truly an amazing magical experience that we will always cherish and never forget! The gentleman that took care of us and cooked our breakfast was just that...a true soft spoken gentleman. He was kind and accommodating and an amazingly good cook! With only 2 rooms for rent, it truly felt like our own piece of paradise in a fairytale. The love story of how this gem came to be sets the mood even more. Sleeping with the ocean sound, smell, and breeze coming through our screened hand carved cabana was a dream come true. We were even adventurous enough to climb to the top tower to cross the bridge to the hammock. I could've slept all night in that hammock! It was hard to sleep, I did not want to close my eyes, just wanted to soak it all in. I would give this beauty and its staff 10?'s!!!

Unique buildings like a Gaudi creation but look Don't Stay unless you are a fan of mosquitos! The unique buildings are like a Gaudi creation but look don't stay! The designer appears to be 100% interested in form and 0% interested in function. Large gaps in the windows and doors plus no screens make for an inviting habitat for mosquitos. The room we stayed in had no A/C and on the ground floor with no screens we couldn't open the windows. No places to hand anything - seems like they are against hooks of any kind. No dresser. No shampoo and a one small bar of soap. The outside areas are equally unusable as it is infested with mosquitos. The pool is smaller than a hot tub.

We tried and failed to stay at La Quinta Orquídea for two nights in a row. We had booked on WhatsApp, and the owner had confirmed we had a reservation. We let them know we'd arrive at 8pm. We did not hear anything else from them. When we arrived, we found the place closed, and no one responded to the doorbell. After a few tries they picked up the phone, and let us know something went wrong (a drunk person pulled a shower or something like that) and they did not have a room for us. At that point it was 9pm, and we did not have a place to stay the night. Incidents happen, but we'd have expected to be notified if our confirmed reservation was cancelled. While we were trying to get in another guest arrived, and they also struggled to get in, having to call the owner multiple times, even though they had pre-paid on Booking. (We did make friends with the other guest, though!) The owner eventually apologized and invited us to breakfast the next day to make up for it, and promised they would have a room for us the next day. At breakfast we noticed multiple guests had large dogs, so asked if possible to get a room that did not have dogs in it just before, to reduce the risk of allergies. Later that afternoon, the owner texted us to tell us that they only had the room where the dogs stayed available (although the guest we had made friends with was also leaving a different room that day) and that they didn't want to risk an allergic reaction, so they would not host us. This was around 4pm, and we saw the message around 6pm. The place looks interesting, but it seems like it's extremely unreliable, and we would not recommend booking it unless you're comfortable with last minute fallback plans, have data, and can speak some Spanish.
