La Terraza Inn - 48399 Puerto Vallarta
If you don’t know what you want from a hostel, how can you expect to choose the right one for your stay? Before looking for accommodation, you should make a quick list of the things you need to have a good night and a pleasant and comfortable stay during the day.
Is there a shared breakfast or kitchen? Do you feel more comfortable in a smaller, more intimate property with a staff that will learn your name, or are you looking to be less involved with the hostel environment? Are you willing to search and pay for something more comfortable? What kind of atmosphere do you like: crazy, modern, classic, cool or wild? Think about what you want in terms of price, quality, comfort and basic services of the hostel and, of course, its location.
From there, it can be extended to things like the history of the hostel, environmental practices, the personality of a place, like the party atmosphere, being romantic or just socializing with other people from around the world. Once you have a good understanding of what you are looking for, for example, you can also check specialized sites to get reviews from other backpackers who have had your experience and will be able to help you choose the best hostel for your stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant food is amazing! I did not stay at the hotel, but I had breakfast at their restaurant. Both food and service were amazing! Highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have communicated on numerous occassion with the establishment by email. Unfortunately, they do not respond and when they do, they say they will get back to you soon and they never do.
I decided to rent somewhere and their response was provided immediately. Too bad because la Terranza Inn had the rustic Mexican flavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So cute! Just a block from the water. I moved from the Tropicana across the street to this place since they treated us like garbage. They were not friendly to Gay people and la terraza saved me! 13 units only, it was close to everything i wanted and they are gay owned for the last 13 years. I met the owner who happened to be on site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's clean, cozy and cheap. The room is spacious and a the terrace completes it. Big windows and a great location. Just one block away from Los Muertos beach. Bad thing: the bathroom is not fully separated from the room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breakfast only at the cafe. They close by 1 or 2pm. Very good food, we had eggs and French Toast. Also fresh squeezed orange juice. Would recommend, give it a try. Entrance on Amapas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for breakfast. Small colourful mexican decor. I had eggs benedict - perfectly cooked. The day we went they were understaffed so it took a while but hey, we're in Mexico...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is only for the restaurant.
Great selection of breakfast dishes, both American and Mexican. Delicious food. My French toast was made to perfection with an awesome almond liquor glaze. Very good coffee. Great value. It is quite popular so tables may be at a premium during busy times. Highly recommend.
