La Trattoria da Mauri Tulum - 77760 Tulum

The food was really fresh and authentic, the owner and the staff were extremely nice. A true Italian gem in the heart of Tulum. My favorite dish was spaghetti allo scoglio, and don’t forget to get a mescal margarita as well ?

Horrible experience. We went there yesterday, ordered Ravioli with Sage, Fussili with Basil and Pines Pesto and a Pizza Vegetariana, all ‚habdmade‘. First we had to wait 45min (!) during a terrible drunk ‚band‘ was screaming Mexican songs in an unmelodic way and way too loud so no one clapped when they finished one song. Then the bad surprise: waitress who hardly understood one word Englisch informed us Pizza (which we ordered 45min ago) was SOLD OUT at 9 PM ???? instead brought 2x Ravioli which we cancelled. Pasta was al dente, Pesto was just canned, cheap, not freshly made and Fussili was definitely not handmade either. Ravioli was okay but both portions were MINIATURE and 11$/€ each. Would never come again or recommend you to visit that place.

Very underwhelming dinner. We had two different pasta dishes, both supposedly handmade pasta. No way it was handmade though. Mushrooms in my contandina most likely canned too. Cabonara didn't taste like traditional recipe. Portions very small. Food itself worth 2 stars, minus 1 for blatant lie about handmade pasta.

I ordered Fettuccine Cream Chicken and it was really good but the service was too slow. I waited 40 mins and the had to ask the waiter in the kitchen how much longer. He said it’s ready now and I said I’ve waited too long and wanted bagged to go. Waiters need to communicate to their customers if there orders are over 20 mins, and management need to hire more cooks to speed up the process during dinner service. Way too slow. Therefore I will not come here again.

the food is really good! we ate the pizza and spaghetti and it was very good! i very recommend about this place. only it takes long time to the food to be ready and the chairs is not so comfortable. but it is one of the best resturants i was in Mexico.

100% recommend, I had the seafood pasta and my girlfriend had the pepperoni pizza. We can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals we have had, along with the food they served good wine at reasonable prices for Tulum. We would be glad to go back

Fresh homemade Italian pasta, the food here is amazing! I keep coming back to try everything on the menu. Even though the service isn't the greatest, and the servers turn over rate is frequent. At this point I know more about the restaurant than some of the new servers. Don't let the small details deter you from trying some of the best pasta in Tulum !!

I went to La Trattoria on Friday August 20 at 7:43pm. I informed the waiter and waitress I knew what I want to order and I wanted to place the order right away. I also informed the short/glasses individual that he can bring any food as soon as it is done. Then my friend order his food 10 minutes after me. About 5 minutes after my friend ordered his food, a brand new couple sat across from us. Long story short, the couple ended up getting their food before us. We had to wait close to 45-50 minutes to get our. When I asked the same man (short, fat, glasses guy) why did the couple that arrives about 15 after us got their food before us, he first argued that they had Not being there after us, I told him the opposite. Then he stated that the food is being cook in order it was received. Which I highlighted that I told him that I want any food to come out as soon as possible..... Also, for the calamari, other than just lime, no other sauce was offered. I will definitely never return
