★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great experience. Beth runs a fun tour.. the ride takes you through the high desert and, while we didn't really see the sunset, it was lovely. These pictures were taken in March before the rainy season begins. The ranch dinner/lunch is definitely worth the $5 USD.. prepared by women who live in the community.. a nice way to relax and refresh after the ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter had a terrific full day ride. Beth matched her to a perfect horse and she enjoyed the ride, the different terrain, the scenery and the opportunity to gallop. She spoke no Spanish and the vacquero only a little English, but this was not a problem at all. The lunch was great and the drop off and pick up was so simple. Thanks for showing her a great time on her first visit to SMA. I suspect you will see her again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great group of people! Beth picked us up and drove us out to the campo in Canada de la Virgenes. Two of the local farmers/ranchers took us out on the trails. It was a good 3-4 hour ride. They took us high up on the mountainside...it was very peaceful and beautiful. After returning, we were treated to a home made meal. Delicious food and great company. I truly enjoyed our time with Reyes, Cantilino and Beth. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great excursion! I went alone and the guide, Lino, was wonderful and so professional! Paying for it was effortless and worth the money. It was a 5 hr tour with an amazing lunch included. The staff was phenomenal and the horse wranglers were so kind. They gave me an easy riding horse due to my inexperience which was perfect! I did fall off my horse on the ride back during a gallop I thought I could do but that was due to my own hesitation on the reins and inexperience. It was not due to any lack of training or guidance from the staff. I was sore but still fine to continue my ride. Lino even took me to the pharmacy after we were back in the office to get pain pills for later. Other than that I had a phenomenal time and would definitely go back. I recommend this excursion and this company!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've now had the pleasure of joining Beth's team twice and it's truly an unforgettable experience. I can't speak highly enough about her cowboys who are knowledgeable and friendly. They welcome you into their community with kindness and a delicious home cooked meal. The views are breathtaking and the horses are very well trained - in a matter of hours, you'll feel like you've been riding for your whole life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beth, Cato, and Reyes were all absolutely amazing during my private horseback ride to La Huerta to see the second oldest tree in Mexico, El Sabino. Beth picked me up from my Airbnb exactly on time and drove me out to the ranch.
Once riding, Beth's horse, Sanctuario, was gentle and intelligent, making for an easy and delightful ride. Most importantly, Reyes and Cato, my local vaquero guides, made me feel completing at ease and safe trotting and galloping throughout the countryside of San Miguel de Allende.
After a fantastic four hour ride, it was another great pleasure to sit down and enjoy the delicious ranch buffet, homemade by Cato's wife, with everyone. I highly recommend booking this once in lifetime experience with Leisurely Country Horseback. Thank you so much again Beth, Cato, Reyes, and Sanct!

First time on a horse for me and it was so easy going, you get a brief instruction how to ride western style and then you are off and get to experience it for yourself. Lovely landscape surrounding San Miguel De Allende. You get assisted by 2 cowboys and even the owners dog joins in for the commute. Overal great experience would recommend it when you visit San Miguel. Greets from Belgium.
