Lovely place to stay. Great atmosphere, quiet, very close to downtown. Staff is very kind.

This place is so great! The room itself is really beautiful, clean, and a nice balcony to see the pool and surrounding area. The staff is also really nice and accommodating. The pool is so beautiful, clean, and refreshing. I stayed here for a week to work remote. The room has a great table to work from and the wifi was pretty reliable. It dropped out a few times but mostly late at night when I was done working. Only warning is that there is construction next door that probably won’t end for another year and from 10 to 5 there is sometimes constant jack hammering which is very loud especially if you are on conference calls. It’s located right next to the main strip of restaurants so you can easily walk to all of the restaurants. You can also easily rent a bike next door and bike to the beach. I was also traveling solo so safety was important. At 10 PM they close the main entrance so no one can get in without passing the Guard. It was also one block off the main road and well lit at night to walk back alone. Highly recommend this place!

I booked with Expedia I accidently clicked the wrong dates. I called the place multiple times to try and fix it and no answer. I show up and let the front desk know and they did not try to validate it even though the room had been paid for. I then asked to see how much it would be to stay a night and he was over charging me more than Expedia and lied about the room that I had booked wrong saying it was not available when clearly it showed on Expedia it was available. I do not recommend this place one bit.

It was really nice and homey. A major plus was the balcony and the bed was super comfy. Only downside is the floor could've been mopped a little better.

Security is number one concern for tourists in Mexico, and this hotel failed badly in this regard. We rented two bikes, and locked them in the hotel's parking right in front of the hotel reception desk. We went back half an hour later, and the bikes were stolen. The reception guy could not speak a word of English, and we were shocked how it happened in such a short period of time while he was sitting there. Then we found they used to rent bikes, and the hotel staff keep their own bikes in the hotel backyard, but there was no signs to warn the guests about the theft, or suggest them park the bikes in the backyard not the front parking. It simply means "they do not care about their guests' security". It turned to a very disappointing experience for us, and we will check for more secure places to stay next time we visit Tulum. Also, there is a huge ongoing construction project behind the hotel, which makes the morning experience not very pleasant.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. We particularly enjoyed the following: - a very reliable internet - Nice pool area - Friendly reception staff - Good cleaning - Free car parking The following items bothered us a bit: - not enough shampoo/soap - too soft mattress - A few mosquitoes inside the room although we were super careful when opening the door and putting product every evening - Location: area feeling a bit remote from the centre

We stayed in this charming hotel 10 night and we have a terrific stay. Our unit was a studio, was big enough with a nice balcony and kitchenette. The decor of the room was beautiful, the bathroom we just love it. The staff on this hotel was so nice and helpful, always with a smile, front desk guys were so amazing, the housekeeper Maricela was our maid and she did such a great job. She left a beautiful detailed made it with towels it was great those details. We absolutely recommend this hotel. Our nights were peacefully and bed was so comfortable. We will stay at Live Tulum hotel again.
