It is always a stop prior to visiting the Ruins of Cobá, if you buy souvenirs you help a small Mayan community. The food is buffet, it feels like home made.

It is a small but cozy place, the buffet-type restaurant is good, the food is very good, and the specialty is the Cochinita Pibil, without a doubt you will want to repeat it, it is a good place to eat, despite the heat The place is cool and you can enjoy your food to taste.
The store next to the restaurant is quite well stocked with handicrafts and objects that you can take as souvenirs of the place, but you have to admit that it is too expensive, at least for national tourism, it is very expensive: for example, small obsidian earrings can cost you more than $500.
If you are willing to buy something, you should be prepared with good money. Also if you have the opportunity to get to know the culture and listen to the shaman, do it, it is a good experience.

Small buffet, but homemade and very rich. The Mayan ritual is an opportunity to enjoy and learn. The craft store is large and well stocked but unfortunately the prices depended on who asked :(

It is a food place that is next to a Sourvenir store.
They took us on a tour and performed a ritual for us.
The site is humble and unsanitary.
They have the products in a line on a table and you serve yourself whatever you want.
The food in general is quite good, it was included in the Tour, the drink was separate and somewhat expensive for the place that it is.
When you enter the store, the guys there try to sell you everything at exorbitant prices just for being tourists.
In short, the food is very good, the rest one gets money from tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good restaurant. Some of the food was super spicy. But only restaurant I went to in Mexico that gave chips and salsa (this was pico de Gallo). I ordered a Mayan chicken dish and it was really good. My girl ordered enchiladas but they were too spicy for her to eat. They also gave us about 20 tortillas. The picture is after we ate as many as we could.
