Lol-Ha Restaurant - 77737 Akumal

This place is great. They treat my parents exceptionally well, are willing to make efforts to deliver food hot and are willing to make changes for diet restrictions. The portions are large and well priced compared to most other beach restaurants in the general area. It can be busy but it doesn't take away from the experience. The breeze is cool, the drinks are colder and the beach provides fun people watching. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner.

Always a favorite. We spend multiple days here every trip. The staff goes above and beyond. Good and drinks are very good and you can’t beat the view! Perfect spot to have a drink and watch the kids play in the bay.

Beach Club in Beautiful Akumal with a variety of options. Available for rent are Palapas, lawn chairs or bring your own. Some people just brought their mats & coolers. All has a price. We were 3 adults & 2 kids under 7. A palapa with 4 lawn chairs + bath/shower privileges was $35. Servers take orders & bring drinks & food to you or choose to enjoy your meal in the dining area. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of whole fried grouper, Ceviche, Cobb salad, tacos and even a hot dog. The snorkel hawkers are the negative to this scene. They are relentless. If you’re an experienced snorkeler just move down the beach about 100 yards & do your own in front of the fancier hotels that don’t allow hawkers. There are “boundaries” to where one can go, but we found enough to see, even a stingray. Overall a very good experience.

Solid restaurant and the cheapest way to get on to the beach. Akumal beach has all been bought up so so you have to pay resort fees. All Lo-Ha requires is you to spend some money on food or drinks and then you can have access to the beach. It be nice if the beach wasnt all private but if you have to choose how to spend your money to gain beach access I much rather get some drinks and food out of it.

Recommend it for entering akumal beach without having to pay parking or entrance fee, just buy food. Good food. Ceviche was great. Prices are average for any restuarant in this area. They have virgen pina coladas for 85 pesos yum. Service needs a little work. Got there at 11 and they didnt open for lunch until 11.30. Manager gave like a 10-15 min speech to employees. Then ordered an app (civiche to start) didnt get it until 12 because kitchen was having a meeting we were told, after that things came out faster. Still reccomend just dont be in a hurry.

Had a really nice breakfast at Lol-Ha after an early morning snorkeling. Kids had French toast which was light and airy. My wife had egg chilaquiles, which had great flavours, and I had the eggs benedict diablo, which was delicious. The service was good and the views looking out over Akumel beach made the breakfast really good. Maybe one day we'll be back, and when we are I'll definitely head here again.

Lol-Ha serves breakfast and is open the rest day for lunch and dinner. The view is incredible and the food is good value for where you are at. I had breakfast there once and the huevos rancheros and chorizo poached eggs were great. I also enjoyed dinner there twice, the guac was good and a big portion. The shrimp ceviche was also good and also a big portion. The beef burrito and pulpo were okay. Overall, a nice spot to enjoy the sunset colors and a beautiful evening with great drinks (cocktails deserve 4 stars, ask for drinks made with fresh fruit)!
