★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could leave no stars I would. Very expensive, no lunch included. Stopped at some shack along the road to eat where you only had one choice. Very boaring trip amegos to buy over priced stuff. Do your research and stay away from these guys. Nothing for kids to do either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a tour that included visiting Vinata Los Osuna. A small agave distillery that wasn't producing that day.
They give you an informative tour and a tasting afterwards. We sampled blanco, reposado, and 2 flavored agaves, vanilla and cinnamon, there are just ok.
If you want to try their anejo, there is an additional charge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fantastic time on our tour. To be honest to your the facility really will only take 20 minutes or so. Getting there took us about 30ish minutes from Mazatlan however. We had a great 3rd party tour guide that gave us all the information on the process from how long it takes to grow Agave to the distilling itself. He was very informative on many of the legal battles of why the alcohol is at certain percentages and the use of different words on the labels. I was sad to see that the Anjos cost extra to taste during the sampling. I did however walk away with an extra Anjos bottle of tequila, that so far I cannot find online for sale anywhere in the states. Only thing I can find is Anjos so hopefully soon the extra will be available so I can order more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great tour learning about this location’s process of making agave liquor (really it’s tequila but tequila is only made in the State of Jalisco). Our group received free samples and our tour was part of zip lining so the price was incorporated into a package. The people were very friendly and no one really bothered us to buy anything. As with everything in town, educate yourself on a fair price and know what you’re willing to pay. It’s likely prices will vary based on many factors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed a private drive/tour of the distillery on a gorgeous day in March. Beautiful well kept hacienda and tidy distillery grounds and laboratory. Tasting was delicious. Learned we can obtain their tequila in our homeland, so happy to know that. Enjoy all the educational and tasting nuances. Thank you and continued success

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vista Tours in Mazatlán took us to Los Osuna “tequila factory” and it was awesome! They explained that the product is technically not tequila because it’s not inside the tequila region, but it’s made the same way—from 100% blue agave (agave azul). The tour included a short walk through the fields among the agave plants, through the tequila making and distilling areas, and samples at the tasting counter! The entire property feels like an old hacienda, but has a clean bathroom with running water. We went in November, so it was quiet; we didn’t get to see them making tequila, but we got to see where they bake the “pineapples” in the ground and where the juice is fermented. Los Osuna has a variety of product to taste including blanco, reposado, añejo, and extraañejo, as well as some liqueurs that I think would not be allowed in the tequila region such as vanilla, cinnamon, and coconut. During the tasting, there were also vendors with artisanal crafts from the nearby artisanal village called La Noria Pueblo Artesenal. And we were provided opportunity to buy tequila and other crafts. I highly recommend a tour of Los Osuna with Vista Tours next time you visit Mazatlán!
