Baklava
El origen del baklava actual (postre turco) se remonta a época otomana. Baklava es una rica pastelería dulce representada en muchas cocinas de los antiguos países del Imperio Turco Otomano. Es una pasta hecha de capas de masa de hojaldre rellenas de nueces o pistachos picados y endulzados con almíbar.
Aunque la historia de baklava no está bien documentada , hay evidencia de que su forma actual se desarrolló en las cocinas imperiales del Palacio de Topkapı en Estambul basado en una tradición turca de Asia Central de panes en capas.
