★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t normally write reviews, but the experience here has been horrible. We started our few hours in Cozumel by waiting much longer than they told us for the Jeep. It wasn’t what they told us it would be. Total beater. They said our snorkel gear we rented would be in it and when it wasn’t, they wouldn’t refund our money for the snorkel gear. Stay away!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great local experience! Normal prices for Cozumel...car in bad shape but took us everywhere on the island. Yes all of warning the lights were on and there was a bad smell coming from the engine...total Mexican safari experience (no working safety belts by the way...) Just do it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware of the lady who is trying to sell you a car rental on the Playa Del Carmen side of the ferry entrance. We were looking to rent a car once we got to Cozumel and a lady approached us in the line with a picture of a brand new jeep and the overall costs. We decided to pay half cash with her and then pick up on the car on the island.
The Jeep was the complete opposite of the picture - it had 140K miles on it. Handled poorly. Extreme exhaust was pouring out the back of the jeep to the point where the rear view was basically coated in soot and worst of all - the seatbelts didn't work. We had no choice but to take the car as we were short on time and needed the car badly.
If you see this review and are considering a purchase with them - turn and walk away as you'll regret it as soon as you see the jeep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made a reservation at Tourist Information in Playa del Carmen harbour. We paid 600 pesos and were told this would enable us to skip the waiting time and the scooter will be readily prepared for us and with the rental package includes free entry to Uvas beach club. When asked about the extra insurance coverage we were told it’s optional extra 200 pesos. When we arrived at Cozumel pickup point we had to wait at least half an hour and we found out that the insurance is mandatory, you have to pay it or you lose reservation and money. Also it was an additional cost of 300 pesos and not even full coverage (only 80%); oh and they did not offer free entry to the beach club. The scooter was comfortable, but the speedometer didn’t work and the right mirror was faulty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked off the ferry and spoke to Ivan, we rented 2 scooters for total $50 bucks including tax. We did not have to get the extra insurance. My husband ask what the deductible was and it higher than the actual cost to repair like a dent or scratch so it wasn't worth getting. We took videos of both scooters prior to leaving the location. Ivan allowed me time to go over how the scooter worked and to operate it until I felt comfortable. We could not find the gas station on way back so we paid him extra for the gas and we were ok with that. That was fair as we were supposed to bring back gased up. We had an overall great experience..This place is operating under the name Mantarrayas Rentals used to be Mahi Mahi..
