Dos estrellas por el hecho de que los meseros dan muy buen trato. La administración del hotel y del grupo 'Carisma' deberían de ser reemplazados y después re-pensar su estrategia con los clientes ante la situacíon de la pandemia. Simplemente me hicieron FRAUDE, reservé en otro hotel del grupo y me mandaron a este (nada que ver el tema, de un hotel de lujo a uno de... música country???) encima, me bajaron de categoría y ADEMÁS, NO RESPETARON LAS RECOMENDACIONES DEL GOBIERNO PARA UN 30% DE CUPO! Todavía tuvieron el descaro de ofrecerme un paquete anual... claro, disfruto que me estafen y por eso te daré más dinero!!! Grupo Carisma FRAUDE TOTAL!!!

If it wasnt because the nice Caribbean look and the people of this resort, I would have never fell in love with Cancun nor would I never gain the interest to explore more of its surroundings, I truly advice anyone to stay there during their visit in Cancun despite the fact that they dont have much reviews. You will be glad that you took my advice into consideration

My first workation in Dominican Republic and the Karisma Margaritaville did not disappoint! I will start with those I remember...Staff is AMAZING! Shenaye the Sales lady was gracious enough to show us the resort while on her lunch! The Ken if the Resort Gabriel went OVER and BEYOND! Go see Yefry at the beach or pool! And the Violinist I didnt get her name but I danced all night!

I've been to Mexico about 20 times since 1995 and this was my worst experience. First off we booked the hotel transfer through the resort web site with Caribbean Ways. Our plane landed at 5 pm. We didn't get to the transportation area until 6:20 pm and the driver from Caribbean ways left and we were stranded at the airport. We had to get a taxi. I have been complaining to the Karisma Resort customer service for 3 weeks since. I paid Karisma Resorts for the transfer and they refuse to refund my money for the transfer. My advice is don't book the transfer through the hotel website. Caribbean Ways is dishonest and unreliable. Also Karisma Resorts can't be depended upon to stand behind what you book on their web site. Another thing to watch out for while booking is don't get fooled by the $500 resort credit. What we found out is the resort credits can only be used for hotel services such as massages. So a couples massage is $268. They will only give half credit making the couples massage $134. You can get a couples massage at a vendor on the beach for $100. The food at Frank and Lola's and the Latino restaurant was awful. The seafood was inedible and the other dishes were bland. These two restaurants made Rita's Tacos and The Beach House seem better than it was. We were very disappointed in the food. That's not all that went wrong. My wife was roofied in one of the bars and her phone was stolen out of her purse. I dealt with the hotel security on this with no resolution. My wife was really sick for 24 hours and the hotel didn't reach out to make sure she was okay. I will say the people doing the hard work in the resort were really good. They worked really hard. They are short handed and these people stepped up. This resort is overpriced and over rated. I have stayed at plenty of resorts in the Riviera Maya and there are much better resorts. Don't book Margaritaville by Karisma Resorts.
