Marina Bartolomé - 77400 Isla Mujeres

Had almost an hour wait for fish tacos and a pulpo entree, with no communication from the staff who began to avoid eye contact with us when the wait ran longer. Fish tacos were dry as if they had sat around for a long time and the al pastor octopus was extremely limp/not grilled at all and came with literally one tentacle, the rest were octopus heads which are vastly inferior for serving to customers. What an extraordinarily embarrassing restaurant!

I’ve come here a couple of times and I’ve semi-love it. Beautiful new construction, pool, Marina views and very clean area. Most of the food was great! Sadly they have been short staffed (Even though it seems to be packed full of staff) every time we’ve gone. We had to get up multiple times to get our own drinks after waiting 10+ minutes for our waiter. This might have been lost in translation, but BE CAREFUL ordering LOBSTER. We know the island is touristy and full of nice restaurants, but this was a shock. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food, ending in a 10,000 peso ($500+) bill for 3 people. Not very good lobster either for the price. Overall, great place to relax at if you have a free couple of hours and want a place away from noise!

Very nice stay today for a couple of hours before taking a flight back home. The place is amazing with sea view, pool, showers, sun chairs free to use when you consume. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast with coffee, smoothies and eggs was perfect and topped by some croissants offered by the restaurant. Tacos for lunch were also amazing. Negative point: after lunch a small band started to play very loud which made conversations (at the table as well as with the staff) impossible. Some people enjoyed, others definitely not.

With the breakfast voucher, it came with coffee, orange juice, fruit, bread and butter/jelly. We also ordered the chilaquiles verdes con huevos it was really good. My girlfriend ordered the longaniza con huevos they were okay. The service could be a little better. Other than that the view is spectacular. I will come here again for the chilaquiles and the view.

Was excited to try this place out for lunch but had a very disappointing experience. I’m very patient at restaurants as I’ve worked in food service but waiting over an hour for two entrees is ridiculous. We got our drinks quickly after we were seated but after 30 minutes passed I asked to check on our food as we were very hungry. The woman who seated us told me that we arrived while they were serving a lot of large parties and that our food should be out right away. An entire hour had passed since our arrival and we still had nothing. When asking other employees on our food status, they also seemed confused and became avoidant of us. The wait wouldn’t be so unbearable if staff had gave us updates on our food or if they gave us chips to hold us for the hour wait. When we finally got our food, it was even more disappointing. The fish tacos were very bland and tasted like they had been out for some time as they were soggy. (The small plate that was brought out with it was also wet?) I communicated this and there was no response from the servers. I would not come back here. Overall a very bad experience and very pricey compared to other spots on the island with better food. The views were very pretty but it seems like they cater to large parties coming in from the dock. I read other reviews with similar experiences.

I've visited Marina Bartolomé numerous times to spend the day by the pool, have some snacks or drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. Love this spot, so back in December I decided to do dinner there for my birthday as I hadn't eaten dinner there before. There was 20 of us, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we all got the right dish, even going as far as writing individual orders for everyone so that paying our bills at the end was super easy. The food was delicious, and considering the number of us it came out quickly and everyone was happy. Such a great experience, highly recommend :)

We enjoyed eating here twice on our stay on Isla. They have the most lovely covered patio with views of the ocean and the boats and a dock you can walk out on. Food is wonderful. My husband had the best garlic fish fillet of our entire 12 days on the island. Wonderful service from our waiter Jorge (such a nice kid!) and compliments to the chef Eduardo on the fish! We will return for sure. One block walk south of the ferry. Great place to hang out with your luggage before waiting for the ferry instead of being in the hot sun. Clean bathrooms.

Breakfast was a sheer delight! The coffee was great. I was surprised w a toast, muffin and cookie basket which was a great touch. My breakfast was a bowl of some type w tortilla chips, beans, chicken and eggs. I clearly overordered and couldn't finish it but it was first rate! The staff was so friendly. We attempted a comeback at dinner to meet friends but the DJ was SO loud we ended up not staying and opted for a different restaurant all together. We came after dinner a few weeks back and it was just lovely seeing the moon and stars sipping our wine near the water. It was subdued and beautiful which is what we hoped for dinnertime. Another note, we're cruisers and always frequent restaurants offering dock access. We'd love to give yiu business yet want a quiet dinner setting...possibly we just chose the wrong evening.
