I truly wish I can say I had a better time here but the experience at this resort has made me not want to come back to Mexico at all. 1. The opening times for the restaurant are not true at all. We spent half the week walking around back and forth to try and find a place to eat. 2. They didn’t play a single Spanish song while I was here for the week.. I mean it’s Mexico… all they played was Adele and Michael Bublé. 3. Anytime we asked the staff for a certain customization due to allergies they would just completely ignore it. Also, the items that are listed as gluten free are very far from gluten free. 4. There are not nearly enough chairs and places to sit at the pool. For a resort that can fit close to 500 people if not more, there’s maybe a maximum of 25 chairs at the pool. 5.There is no entertainment at all. Every event they had planned just never happened. No club dancing, no activities, a DJ at the pool twice a week, they promise mixology classes and cooking classes but they just never happened. And finally what takes the cake… upon check out we found buffet receipts with tip amounts that were not approved by us or written by us. I can guarantee 100% they were not in our writing and when I said this to the front desk he just replied with “oh… yeah…” and made us pay. So basically the workers scammed us and wrote their own tip amount on the bill and it was far from a small amount. For the amount of money we paid for two people for one week I could have enjoyed my time somewhere wayyy better. I’m sorry, save your money, go to a different resort. Unless you’re 60+ years old this is not the place for you. In conclusion, this resort is boring, unreliable, staff is clearly scamming people, they’re rude, and I can’t stress enough that it was far from “luxury”.

Love this resort and definitely will be back again next year. Service was amazing as were the food, accomodations, and spa. The resort is clean, high end, and fairly new. We even got a glimpse of whales while relaxing in the infinity pool. Amazing!! I love that its a true all inclusive and its adults only. My only cons (not really cons, more of a preference) is that I would have liked to see more authentic Mexican cuisine options on the menus and mexican music throughout the resort. Also, the road leading to the resort was a bit scary. Lol. Overall it's a great resort and I can't wait to go back.

Rancho Banderas is in a beautiful location trying to be a luxury resort with 2 star quality. Food quality has decreased in a major way since going to all-inclusive. Food is not only poorer quality, but often served cold. Food in the buffet line is very mediocre, restaurant food is mediocre and very small portions. Staff is very poorly trained and needs to be directed and told what to do. Often don't bring menus, don't refill drinks, don't bring the check. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and it took 2 hours, with all the waiting. The resort is now Adult Only, so if you have time share and you have kids... You won't be back. For what they are charging per day, the experience is very under-whelming. Maybe that's why the place is empty.

Positives: 1. The resort looks nice 2. The location is right on the beach Negatives: 1. The front desk staff are not empathetic, nor do 2. they care to accommodate simple requests 3. Due to low occupancy the restaurants are currently on rolling closures, so advertised opening hours are not correct 4. Above our 3 bedroom suite were a group of bats that would defecate on our balcony - not a joke! Must knows: 1. Taxis organized by the restaurant stop at 11pm 2. All inclusive is not value for money 3. The internet is very average, you wont be able to work from the resort

My wife and I stayed here February 2022. This resort is very beautiful but small, the service is lacking and the workers are dishonest. My wife’s small purse was stolen right from our room! The rooms are well appointed with great amenities but the room-service is not up to par, with everything being very limited. The mini bar only has 2 beers in it this dosnt cut it for a resort of this caliber. The views from the resort are amazing and we seen Whales almost everyday this was the best part. Beach is clean and the sand is white so I’ll give them that . Still if you stay here beware of the staff!

This is a beautiful resort. Staff is wonderful and the location is very remote and serene. The only issue I had was the room they gave us. I specifically asked for a quiet room and ended up being given the room adjacent to where they set up the nightly band. The band is set up in the centre of the top portion of the resort and plays well beyond 11:45pm. If you are looking for a place to get a good nights sleep this is not the place. We were not even able to call reception to complain because none of the extensions on the phone in the room worked. Only the room service extension worked. I will not be returning which is unfortunate. The resort is beautiful but the night entertainment set up is horrible.

What a wonderful place to spend our honeymoon:) i recommend utilizing the spa as much as possible! It’s fantastic. We did melange nights there and it was worth every penny. The concierge was incredibly helpful, especially Frieda and Octavio. We enjoyed every moment! And the food was exceptional:)

A bit on the pricey side, but it was awesome! The resort is beautiful with an incredible attention to detail. We often found ourselves saying out loud 'I like this place'. Every meal was five stars. Service was super nice. And the beach was one of the best we have ever visited. Super long walks, soft sand, clear water, and waves just big enough to play in. Top it off with sunsets over the ocean. This is a place to go back!
