★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of different choices, decent prices, be aware that you can haggle. Helpful associates! I got a very unique piece of jewelry and receive many compliments on it. Will be going back on future trips.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our tour company Sunway Experiences, said a free shopping trip was included with our package. They brought us to this high pressure jewelry store/tourist trap and we had to walk across the Boulevard in pelting rain to get to the Las Americas mall. Took a taxi home instead of going back in Sunway’s van.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Scam.
Enjoy the free ride, but don't buy anything there.
I bought my wife a nice "silver" ring, and less than a year later the main stone fell out. Furthermore, it is not full silver. It had a thin lining of silver on the outside that has begun to peel away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so mad that we were dropped here when we were promised a shopping trip. They bring you to this one place that is the only souvenir place in the area. There is a mall near but it is like going to any other suburban mall in the US. It doesn’t have souvenirs or things to buy for my family
The jewelry is cheap and fake (don’t believe them about the original Mayan stones) and the tequila and vanilla are cheap and expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be aware people!!! Fraudulent!! All jewelry and stones are fake! Tequila so+++ expensive and very bad quality! People there tricking you be very careful!!!! This store has contact with sunwing to bring people there, if you don’t buy anything from store you have to pay the way back to hotel. This place sucks!!! Please go shopping right across the street, very very cheap tequilas. Not deserve even 1 star.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give this jewelry store 0 starts I would. Took a tour to “la plaza” but before going there we had to stop here and made us listen to the sales person talk about the jewelry. We didn’t come to Mexico to buy jewelry and we told them that, but they insisted we’d stayed until they saw me get mad. Finally before leaving, they asked me if I can fill out a survey. One of the questions were “what’s the reason you didn’t stay at the jewelry store.” I feel like we were obligated to stay there and hear them talk about their fake jewelry. Overall, don’t take this tour or don’t come here to buy jewelry

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got scammed so bad here in May 2015 it still hurts my feelings to this day. The guy who runs the place smiles like the hotel manager from home alone 2. He’s basically the grinch in a cheap suit. I made the mistake of drinking too much before going on the free tour so my decision making wasn’t too sharp. First red flag, none of the “jewelry” has any prices on them. You’re not obligated to stay there so don’t feel obliged to. All jewelry purchased that day has basically deteriorated since. Simply exit tour bus and walk across street to mall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was told this was real silver bought this ring on Monday and it looks like this on Friday. Was told we would get a free tour of the silver jewelry store and tour of the tequila place on our way to 5th avenue. There was no tour. We were assigned a sales rep at the jewelry store. All he did was say the name of the stone as he took us to each glass cabinet. Then we ran over to the tequila place for the "tour" thinking we were late but all it was, was the souvenir shop. No tequila tour. I really wanted a tequila tour. Wasted almost 2 hours at these places waiting for the driver to co.e take us to 5th avenue.
