MAYAN CLAY SPA & BATHHOUSE TULUM - 77780 Tulum

The best massage of my life. The 2 hr clay and oil massage left me so relaxed and grounded. The smell of copal, the sounds of bird and water and the senses were satisfied. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Went for the 2 hour experience with two friends (the Mayan mud massage + 1 hour full body massage) and it was EVERYTHING. We all got to be in the same cabana with open breeze and the jungle surrounding us. The massage therapists were so skilled, professional and kind. At the end we all sat up and our voices were two octaves lower with relaxation as we exclaimed how amazing the experience was to each other. 10/10 will go next time we're in Tulum. Just a note that you do get nude and shower off during so be aware of that to gauge your comfort level. But everyone was discreet and, for us, it felt freeing.

We did the 4hr jungle massage and it was the highlight of our vacation. We opted to be nude the entire time and it was just perfect. The entire experience was so calming and relaxing. I desperately wish I could find something similar in the US, but it's truly a unique experience. If I'm ever in Tulum again, I'll 100% be going back.

My best friend and I walked into their location located in Zona Hotelera, we spoke to who we now know was the owner's son of the business very nice, attentive and informative. We booked a 3 hour Jungle House massage, however there was a misunderstanding between price points. The conversation I had with Sara the Sales Manager for Maya Clay was extremely uncomfortable. Their had been a wrong published price for the 3 hour massage we had wanted to book and were told by owners son we could book it at the price it was listed since it was the Spa's fault for mistakenly advertising the incorrect price. However, Sara was extremely rude and accusing me of lying, she asked for a picture of the sign posted in the shop since she had "never ever listed her services at that price point". Sara ended up calling me back and honoring the price point I had seen at the shop since she had to call from the office she was sitting in, to ask about the poster. It felt very unsettling the entire conversation but we decided to book either way. The experience at the Jungle House spa was uncomfortable, the entire time during the experience we were asked numerous times to take our bathing suit top off although expressing we were uncomfortable and we were rubbed down inappropriately without consent. From the moment we arrived the instructions were unclear as to what was going to happen with the services and we felt that it was not even worth the discounted price. It felt more like a spiritual ritual or ceremony than an actual Spa experience.

Three of us went to the jungle location. It was magical. Professional, comfortable, relaxing, and beautiful. Four hours with massage and mud bath. Wish we could do it everyday. Very unique. A great experience. So sweet to send our friend home with a gift since he got food poisoning & could not attend. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

The music was very calming. They start the 60 min massage by holding some mint essential oil around your face when you lay down on the massage bed which was nice. The ladies were also kind. The reason it’s missing two stars: I got bit 4 times throughout the massage by mosquitoes. My right arm and leg was just itching and burning from the bites so of course I couldn’t enjoy the whole experience. I also asked for more pressure three times and still didn’t get enough pressure to really feel anything. The one area the lady did well was massaging my left calf but she didn’t massage the right calf, flipped me over and applied the clay mask and that was it folks… before the massage they also ask you to draw on the areas that you want them to focus on but there was no focus on those areas.

Really enjoyed the couples 90 min Mayan clay head to toe + massage experience. The masseuse knew exactly where my pain points were! Skin feels great after!

Wow. One of the top 5 massages I’ve ever received. And I’ve gotten a lot. My friend and I opted for the 2 hour clay massage + oil massage and it was unbelievable. And I didn’t just luck out with a great masseuse (Vicky), my friend said she also had the best massage of her life. This place is a magical gem hidden in an area that I dread, the hotel zone. But so so worth the trek from town. Highly highly recommend!
