MAYAN DIVE CENTER - 77710 Playa del Carmen

I arrived in Quintana Roo and never expected to stumble upon Mayan Dive on my first day but I am grateful I did. I met Andrea the owner, his cousin Marco, and Charlie. I completed 6 dives and obtained my PADI and must say I have never felt so much a part of a family. Andrea is an amazing instructor and is patient and kind and very good at what he does. I will be highly recommending the Mayan Dive Center to all my friends and family. If you are visiting this is the place you need to go. I am going to miss my new family dearly and all the amazing dives swimming with sea turtles, nurse sharks, barracuda, and all the other wonderful fish.

Andrea took our diving experience to another level! We immediately felt secure and in a hands of a passionate expert. His enthusiasm and love for the sea and diving is contagious, thanks to him we made our dream of diving in Cozumel island real. The underwater world he has shown us blew our minds! We were diving in between mountains of coral, thousands of colorful fish, he even spotted giant lobsters and crabs hiding in holes. The 2 m long moray eels and giant groupers were the highlights of our dive. No matter what your level of experience is, Andrea will make your dive unforgettable. Thanks Andrea for sharing your passion for diving ! You will always stay in my memory with my first dives - and hope to dive with you again when coming back to Mexico. I have been diving with Andrea and Mayan Dive Center for 3 days - did my open water and then went to the Cenotes. Andrea is the best person to learn the fascination of diving. He still loves every dive. He is always in a good mood, tried to encourage everyone and I always felt 100% save. First dives right in front of the beach and at the second day we have already been diving in the breathtaking reefs of cozumel. He showed us Eaglerays, stingrays, turtles, sharks and so many different kind of fish. On the 3rd day we went to the cenotes with Jose who is also a very cool dive instructor who showed us his specialty which is totally different than the sea. Make sure to go to the cenotes as well ! Diving was a great experience and Mayan Dive Center is a 100% recommendation !

Andrea and Diletta are people we all want to meet! They are truly passionate about diving and by teaching it to anyone. I was a bit scared at the beginning but they taught me everything at the right speed and most importantly it was VERY FUN and in 100% security. Finally, they are reliable, on time and the equipment is of top quality. I strongly recommend to anyone to dive with them!

This is my second time diving with Andrea :) Last year in March I just randomly looked up on Google and search for a diving center in order to obtain an open water certification. I compared couple places and found that Andrea offered the best price and time so we just went with him. It was such a pleasant and amazing experience! He was super flexible with our schedule, we get to dive in the ocean for the first time to practice and this year I brought more friends with me to get an advanced open water certificates. He took good care of all of us and make sure we are safe and well equipped! He checked on our gears carefully before we dive into the water and make sure we feel safe and secure when we are under the water! I really enjoyed our time in Mexico, I am sure we’ll go back and have him bring us out to dive again! Btw, Daniele is also a great instructor, knowledgeable and professional. He made sure we learned everything we need to know before heading into the ocean :) I can’t wait to go back for the bull sharks season ?
