★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience with all the local culinary, piñatas, chicharron, pollerias, everything. Very recommended to visit if you would like to see real mexico city citizens. Do not expect a fancy place, this is a real one instead:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Juanita's restaurante was very good, for a quick lunch, they have a fixed menu plus 3 or 4 varieties every day. The service is very nice, clenningness ok

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iconic on the Mixcoac area, you can get lots of stuff in here.
In addition to your shopping list, you really need to stuff that face with deep-fried fish fillets and a fishadilla or those famous gorditas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, it's not a supermarket, so don't expect an HVAC system of red carpets. However, everything was clean, the smells were so nice, the sights were an explosion of colour...
And if you are hungry, look for this lady with the facial scars, near a tortilla mini - factory: she has the most delicious, most juicy barbacoa that I have ever eaten in my life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popular market with fair prices & nice carnitas, quesadillas & seafood, believe it or not.
Not included in tourist guides, but certainly quite a place to see a typical barrio market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. It's more earthy than some of the fancier markets in CDMX. But there is a row of excellent food vendors down the one side and on the other, there's a collection of seafood restaurants. Market also stays open late.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't like Mexican mercados. They feel super dirty and unsafe. They have good selection and extraordinary freshness though!
