★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place to try Carnitas and Cochinita Pibil at local prices, Carnitas Thaily are quite good, but you need to go early because by 11 they are closing (6 am to 11 am every day) a good place to have a mexican breakfast.
You can also have juices and other small snacks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is just as small as the rest of the island, don’t expect anything grand. But it’s probably the cheapest place to buy fruits and veggies on the island (which is still a lot more expensive than anywhere else in Mexico, but it’s an island, after all).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lady at the juice stand understood that I could not have local ice as it was not purified and made me an all juice smoothie that was yummy and refreshing. The two men at the most southwestern end made a great quesadillas. Support locals! Eat well and for low costs.
