★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute little plaza de mercado, we stopped on our way to chichen Itza,, weried for the first time the tamales and atole early in the morning and they were amazing, also we found nice souvenirs at very good prices, the fruit is very fresh and delicious

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got some awesome leather sandals here for dirt cheap. I also had a taco that was pretty good and sampled some chicharrones. The market has lots of things to look at. Worth a stop for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your on your way to Chichén Itzá than you must stop by this local market! Just swing a local Mexican market is fantastic! But if you have time, stop to try the tacos at the “la negrita” taco stand! Very fresh ingredients and great service! All the vegetables in the market are very fresh and beautiful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe is not a big local market but you can find a lot of interesting things here, a lot of organic and local veggies and fruits and some handcrafts, it’s a really interesting point in Valladolid and also cheaper than other places, so come and support the local people and buy here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This mercado is little bit off the beaten track, at the edge of town some 10 min walk from the cenote Zaci.
It's housed in a beautiful arched colonial style edifice and it's very colorful inside.
You'll find everything there - fruits, vegetables, meats, clothes and what I was most amazed with - homemade HOT sauces in so many different colors. I bought over 10 at less than 2$ a piece.
Great place to soak local atmosphere and many local eateries around
