Mestizos - 77930 Bacalar

We liked this place very much. Food was delicious and generous and the beverage menu had a lot of good choices. I fell in love with the chilaquiles, that much that I'd go just for that. Cash is a problem when the ATMs don't work in Bacalar, but Mestizos does take credit cards, which is great. Definitely recommended

Do not order tacos, they look and taste like McDonalds made them. ? Even did not get any salsa with them, had to ask. Watery coctails. Go across the square to get better tacos.

We loved the tacos here. They have such a great flavour. I actually only took a photo of one of the 3 different kind of tacos we ate. I loved the al pastor tacos, they were amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive, he even showed and led my wife to the toilet. The prices are totally ok. They have screens were they show sport events (i.e. Basketball), so if you want to watch a game or something - you know where to go.

Amazing food ! I recommend Mestizo for their food and their cocktail ! The crispy fried ribeye steak guacamole and the mojitos ?? They have good sense of salsa music

Great vegetarian options. Cold beer, friendly service. My favorite place in the centro of Bacalar.

Very disappointed. We are vegetarian and always say so immediately. They said no problem. My Marguarita was smaller than advertise and tasteless. I asked to combine additional veggies for the fajita I ordered. Without meat or chicken. I received a plate so greasy With cheese and some Veggies mostly onions and peppers and a few tortillas. Same price as with meat. For a few mushrooms and zucchini added. My husband was a little better. Not worth the money. The music is terrible. Our waiter was nice. But the rest subpar for the price. And they give you nothing. Most places give you some chips and sauce while you wait. Nothing there. Do not waste your money. There’s plenty of better places to eat. I gave.a 2 because the wait staff was good. The rest is 0 star.

Lovely place, Food was well presented and taste was very good! Randomly adding 15% tip to our bill: Gets annoying.
