★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place. I only wish I would have found it sooner. The mezcal tasting was great. We had the pleasure of meeting Rafael. Knowledgeable and super friendly. His passion for agave and mezcal is very obvious. However, even if you have no interest in Mezcal, this place is still worth visiting. The food, service, and atmosphere are amazing. They even have a small cinema. The cocktails are excellent and they offer a beer selection. This place reminds me of the small breweries back home. I felt very comfortable here. Do yourself a favor. Get outside of Centro and give it a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love love love this place. Unfortunately, since it’s a bit outside of the center, i don’t get there as often as I’d like. They have a lovely outdoor dining area and beautiful turquoise bar. My dogs love to come along and explore their garden as I enjoy the delicious food and drink. Their huraches and tlayudas are amazing. On weekends they have superb barbacoa until the early afternoon. They also have great local beers and a hundred different mezcals. Definitely a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool vibes (went on a Saturday night), great drinks & food, and the owner is awesome (went out of his way to welcome us and brought over his favourite mezcal). Definitely a gem

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upbeat, way off the beaten path gastropub with food and drinks that won't break the bank. Friendly service. Outdoor weekly showings of Mexican independent films, often with the filmaker(s) present, shown in the adjacent courtyard. Solid tacos, good-sized burgers, and even pulque and chapulines for the adventurous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an excellent experience visiting Mescal-art in San Miguel de Allende. We tasted a few mescals before deciding on full pours. They have dozens of mescals to taste and many bottles for purchase.
We ordered some tacos to go with the mescal, which were delicious, and they have several authentic options. And we got to taste some yummy chapulenes.
Our younger kids had fun in the garden and played with a few dogs on the grounds.
Rafael is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Mescal and recommended various mescalarias for when we visit the state of Oaxaca.
Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Laid back spot which has a nice covered open seating area, Mezcal Art specializes in mezcal as the name suggests, doing tastings and classes and offering suggestions for novice mezcal drinkers. They make delicious mixed drinks, and have a wide variety of beer available as well. The food is good as well; they offer a number of selections made with crickets if you are wanting to try…. A cool spot to hang out or watch a futbol game.
