Beautiful monument called "Monumento sobre la historia de México" carved in a border structure. It was created by a cuban plastic artist named "José Ramón de Lázaro Bancomo" but known as "José Delarra." The monument was opened to public in 1981 by José López Portillo who was the president from 1976-1982. This monument represents and honors different events and historical stages from Mexican history like Independence, revolution, the law change or reform by Benito Juárez, the Mesoamerican culture, and some others. It includes phrases said by interesting histórical figures like Emiliano Zapata, Miguel Hidalgo, Benito Juárez, Lázaro Cárdenas, Sor Juana inés de la Crus and others. Locally, people started calling it "la licuaora" (The blender) due to its curious shape which looks like the blends of a blender, some people call it the washing machine as well. This roundabout is a very beautiful place full of Mexican history.
