The city hall palace. It is very interesting to visit the place where government control of our capital has always been. Beautiful building with a lot of history, past, present and future are united in the same place in space.

It is a good building to enjoy the structure, the general exhibition is good, however very leftist and sharpens the exhibition of "urban culture" where they misinform and show incorrect parts of current history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the city hall, which has rooms open to the public on the second floor. An English-speaking tour guide took me through about 4-5 different rooms and explained the history of the building and the city. This was free and took about 15 minutes.
The interior is beautiful and historical, with many portraits of the different revolutionary heroes and the viceroys who ruled over Mexico across 300 years. The highlight was a beautifully restored ceiling fresco from the 19the century featuring Mexican historical figures.
Since the museum has only been open to the public since December 2018, there were no other visitors and I was able to enjoy a private tour and ask a lot of historical and cultural questions to my enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. I definitely recommend checking out this gem of the Zócalo which is hidden in plain sight!
