What a shame, we came from CDMX and Querétaro to visit Tuxtla and in this museum at 3:50 they did not let us enter because they closed at 4, when the notice on the glass of the door and in the brochures says that they close at 5, The cop and a bureaucratic lady ran us off, WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO TUXTLA ON HOLIDAYS ???

It is worth visiting the museum as long as you do it with a guide, the information inside the museum is extremely interesting and what better than to be explained by an expert, here they can explain what Chiapas was like before, the difference in fossils and more. about amber between the process that took for its creation to how to differentiate it and identify the authentic amber

The place really surprised me more than I expected... it's small but it has incredible things on display... I liked everything that is very clean and well explained. Many pieces (some original I think) are within easy reach... the same and not to go around fiddling with them but to see them more closely.... Very friendly staff. The entrance cost me 15 pesos... it's worth it. It is a bit hidden but it even has parking...

One of the great things of the museum of paleontology is that everything that they have, or speak about, is from Chiapas. This really helps you better understand what there is to discover in Chiapas. There are also remains of a prehistoric horse that I assume must also be related to the prehistoric horse discovered near Hagerman, Idaho USA. We took only about 25 minutes to see what there is to see. We were also told Tuesdays are free...

It's a small paleontology museum. It's good to wake up interest in people. Entrece fee (as of 2021 April) 10 pesos.
