En 1872 se construyó el faro, donde se ubicaba la torre campanario; el claustro y las celdas fueron ocupados como almacén de la aduana, el templo fue habilitado para una biblioteca, y finalmente hacia el año 1964, el sitio fuera destinado para albergar un museo dedicado a las Leyes de Reforma. En su interior podrás encontrar estatuas de grandes mexicanos. En este recinto que fue construido en el siglo XVI y dónde el presidente Benito Juárez en el año 1858 y 1860 promulgó las leyes de reforma donde principalmente separa el estado (gobierno) de la iglesia. Tuve el gusto de disfrutar en su interior la clausura del congreso anual de AMTI 2018.
