Best samosas EVER! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Our curries were good, the rice was fresh, and the portions were big, but the thing we enjoyed most was the incredible samosas. You must try them. Very nice owner and friendly service. We will return - it isn’t easy to find Indian food in Mexico so this was a treat!

I've been to India Nepal and Bangladesh and know Indian food. I ordered take away. The owner/cook is Mexican which should have been a clue that Indian food might be a stretch.(the cashier said he studied under Indians). I ordered the beef curry. The beef was very chewy and even though I ordered spicy but not too spicy the sauce was bland. The garlic "nan" bread (30 pesos) was actually a lavash style; this one was basically an dense undercooked pie crust. I would skip it next time. The basmati rice was acceptable. A couple who had ordered Thai curry were happy with their meal. Perhaps I'll go back and try another dish. If the experience is better I will modify this review.

I have now been to this place three different times. The food was decent the first time, I enjoyed it more the second time, and the third time it was average. The biggest issue I have is the portion size are extremely small. I mentioned this when I made my last order and said that my previous takeout order didn't have much food in it and I was assured they corrected the issue. When I got home I saw that I had another small portion. This is the main issue why I do not give this place a higher rating.

The food is good, you can see their effort in making the food. Although the names of the dishes are Indian, they don't taste authentic (not even close). I would call it Mexicanized Indian food. All other nationals will definitely like the place and food. Good Mango Lassi by the way.

We stopped in here for an exotic meal after several months of enjoying the local cuisine and were not disappointed! The samosas are fried perfectly and the garlic and cheese naan was so cheesy. We enjoyed the entrees, rice and refreshing Lassis as well (try the mango). We highly recommend this gem!

I was supposed to have food with friends at a place they said would have plenty of vegan options… and while salads are fine, i’d hardly call them options. particularly when that is the ONLY “option”. as a food loving vegan, i would call salads more of a default. when dining out i expect more than salad as an “option”. so with that as my only, eh hem- “choice”, i decided to leave and go elsewhere. and i am sooooooo happy i did because i found some INCREDIBLE VEGAN OPTIONS at Namaste! this place is easy to miss due to it’s somewhat discreet location. it is up a set of stairs next to the currency exchange bordering the town plaza. believe me when i say it is worth seeking out! the place itself is comfortable and welcoming with a great view. the service was friendly, prompt and menu knowledgeable. i mention that because at so many places here i’ve asked questions about ingredients (being vegan) and so many servers just don’t know. now to the food… again- OPTIONS! for real!! they had many things to choose from. i don’t remember them all but will be back to try them. i ordered the vegetable samosa, mushroom martar(?) and basmati rice. it was all delectable! the samosa were perfectly crispy on the outside, flavorful one the inside, and served with a very tasty tamarind sauce. i actually ordered some to go with my leftovers. yes, that good!! the mushroom dish was equally impressive. seasoning was tasty with a kick and the texture was spot on. it was also different from anything else i’ve had in puerto, which was a very welcome change. the rice was cooked perfectly and made a nice compliment to both dishes. if i had one wish it’s that they would make some vegan naan… nonetheless, i highly recommend whether you are vegan or not! i will be back for sure!

1st time eating here. We had Thai curry and butter chicken. The Thai curry was yellow curry and very subtle with nice spicy aftertaste. For those who might not be fans of curry, the butter chicken is a wonderful dish in a tomato sauce. I highly recommend trying while in Puerto Morelos.

My wife loves this place. It’s seems to be the only Indian restaurant in town. Flavorful. We recommend the naan with cheese and vegetable masala. We were hesitant to order based on reviews saying portions were small for the price. We strongly disagree. One order and one naan was plenty of food for both of us. Two would have been way too much. Very kind peeps.
