Nerea Tulum - 77760 Tulum

This gets 5 stars for a lot of reasons. First, the hospitality of the staff was incredible; everyone was great, but the front desk staff was exceptional. Izzy was fantastic, and she gave us a wonderful welcome tour, and answered all of our touristy questions. Our flight was delayed and then canceled and the hotel allowed us to adjust our reservations by one night in either direction with no additional charge. The hotel itself has its own private beach access with peaceful morning breakfasts facing the water. The rooms are spacious with a king sized bed, a shower and a bath. Our room had direct access to the pool via our balcony! Finally, if you're looking for activities, there are free kayaks, bikes, stand-up paddle boards and more. For us, it was useful to have a car as it's about 15 mins from downtown tulum, playa paraiso and an hr to the Coba ruins.

My new favorite place to stay in Tulum! This place is a true gem, and a little slice of paradise. It is modern architecture meets natural building elements like wood, chukum (limestone) finish, and lots of lush green vegetation- right on the beach! You can literally jump in the pool from your swim-up room, come out on the sand a few feet from the sea, take a few steps and jump in the sea. There’s a beautiful peer and lots of hammocks, as well as free activities provided such as snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, bicycles. It’s family-friendly, and the rooms are beautiful, my 3-year-old daughter was particularly excited about taking a warm bath. There’s a gorgeous cenote a min walk from the property. Food was delicious, staff was very attentive, and the best part is the peace and quiet. If you’re into the hustle and bustle of the Tulum hotel zone, jump into your rental car or one of the taxis waiting, and you’d be there in 15-20mins. Can’t wait to be back in Nerea soon.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed at Nerea for 7 days and I am very glad we chose this place. The territory is not big, it's a boutique hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional. The place is very stylish and clean. Breakfast was included, we also had a nespresso coffee machine in the room. There is a restaurant where you can order lunch, snacks or come for a dinner. I highly recommend trying their Piña colada. Our bathroom had a very cool spa tub made of stone with spa salt, various organic shampoos, and lotions, all organic and smell amazing. Don't worry if you book a pool or garden view room. Whichever room you choose, you will love it. each room has a nice balcony with two chairs and a cool coffee table. The only small details is that there are a lot of corals in the water, so you need to be careful when entering the water. But this wasn’t a problem for us at all. This hotel is not far from Tulum beach area where all the popular beach clubs and bars are located. We rented a car and drove there several times. It was a good combination of relaxation at Nerea and nightlife in the Tulum Beach area.

I am so happy we took a chance and stayed at this newer hotel. Nerea is absolutely stunning, right on the water and the staff was incredible as well. The restaurant is very expensive, and if you get water bottles etc..that part I was a bit floored by, but outside of that I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway for tulum. There is a security guard in the area that makes you feel safe, and the rooms are very nice and spacious as well. We will be back, nerea!

I cannot express enough wonderful things about this beautiful hotel! The staff was incredible through & through and went above & beyond to make us feel so taken care of during our entire stay. The food & drinks were consistently delicious, the pool & beach were stunning & so peaceful, and the paddleboards, kayaks, & hammocks made each day the perfect mix of relaxation & exploration. The atmosphere offered the most peace I've felt in a long time & I was all too sad that the visit was so brief. I'll definitely be returning someday! (What a gift to stay here so early on in Nerea's existence!)

he best hotel I have ever been to in mexico. If you are looking for boutique quite romantic vibes- this is the place for you. The team welcomed us with welcome drinks and tour in the facility. They were very nice and welcoming! they all speak English and Spanish. The breakfast there Is very spoiling, you get appetizer and main dish. It was very tasty. in the facility you’ll find the “Tulum design” which is wood and clay. It’s gorgeous and brings you into vacation mood in the moment you step in! The pool is absolutely magnificent. You can take a great morning swim because it is very long. They decorated the room beautifully, the rooms are very big, they have big shower and amazing clay bath with strong water flow and hot water! (Very hard to find hot water in mexico)…. Everything in the fridge is complimentary and they refill it every day. They also have complimentary Kayaks and puddle board. Since my flight was at 7:30 pm, they allow us to have a late check out. I will definitely be back to Nerea

Me and my Husband spent our honeymoon at Nerea, we didn’t quite realise the distance from the main Tulum strip but once we had arrived we actually preferred the location. Set 10 mins out of Tulum down a dirt track road with security. It is directly on a quiet stretch of beach. The location is totally tranquil. The room and all hotel areas are so thoughtfully designed with high end finishes that really feel like luxury. The pool is beautiful and cleaned every morning, which normally means you can jump in pretty much straight after breakfast. Rooms are serviced every day and as we had a swim out room we needed towels on rotation which was never a concern. The food was generally good with an occasional dislike but as the rest of our experience was so good we really could not complain too much. Breakfast is from the restaurant located above the bar( amazing morning views) which consisted of a drink an appetiser and main. Although at first I thought that was great, actually it’s a little too much food and found myself ordering for the sake of it. I would hope that the menu gets reviewed a little as there were many dishes that just didn’t seem to be necessary and possibly not to most peoples taste. As far as breakfast goes I was hoping for some oats or bacon occasionally which are not on the menu. For lunch and dinner there are decent options but again the menu needs to be refined. It seemed a little too fussy at times and maybe needs to focus on the balance of flavour and texture. Overall we are pretty well and found some local gems too with the help of the Reception staff. Angel who is the concierge is by far the most friendly and helpful person we met on our trip. He went above and beyond to help us plan day trips, get car rentals, taxi’s, dinner reservations and everything in between. He really made us feel like nothing was too much to ask and he was a genuinely kind person. We will not forget how much he did for us on our honeymoon. THANKYOU Angel!!! Abraham and all the bar and wait staff were very friendly and entertaining. Everyone we spoke to had a great attitude and seemed to really enjoy their job. Thanks to all of you! Finally I have to mention the spa. I had the ‘Five Technique’ massage and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend anyone visiting Tulum considers this hotel if they want a relaxing trip to Mexico.

Amazing restaurant—best in the area. Food is delicious, made from scratch and high quality. The restaurant manager Abraham is awesome and the service is great. I didn’t stay at the hotel but its a pretty hotel and the rooms look nice as well. Great location. Will definitely come back.
