This was very disappointing, given the stellar reviews and the restaurant's inclusion on many lists of Mexico City's finest. The service was absolutely terrible. During cocktails, the waiter spilled a drink on one of us. That happens, but not great. During the salad course, they forgot my salad. It wasn't until I reminded them that they brought a salad 10 minutes later, meaning they clearly had to make it. During the main course, they forgot someone's stuffed chicken. When reminded, they informed us that they were out of the corn relish that is part of the dish. This was at 7 pm on a Saturday. Seems odd to run out before the rush even starts. The sad part is that the food was absolutely awesome, but that the service was so bad that we couldn't enjoy it.

It was so good I was crying with happiness! We got the seven course menu, which somehow was 9 courses! I have never had food like this. I also requested only vegetables or seafood and every single thing was perfectly seasoned, balanced, beautiful. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, especially for the amazing service!

had an amazing experience at this restaurant, they went above and beyond to assist me with food allergies and the service was nothing short of impeccable. the amazing staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious. the guacamole made table side was one of the best i’ve ever had, and my spouse loved the enchiladas. they were able to make a special batch of enchiladas for me and not only did it warm my heart with gratitude, but they were so yummy too. if you have the chance, definitely make a stop here to eat, you won’t regret it!

A very special place with a focus on traditional ingredients, traditions, and flavours. Unpretentious, affordable, delicious. We had the atole champurrado, assortment of chorizos, green enchiladas, grapefruit juice, latte, and sweet bread. The refried beans are the best I've ever had, with the essence of lard.

Nicos is one of the best restaurants in CDMX. Food, drinks, service…all excellent. Great for breakfast or lunch. The chef and his mother are delightful if you get a chance to meet them. Best Negroni I’ve had in CDMX. Excellent wine selection. Appetizers: Bone Marrow Sope & Pork Belly Tacos Entrees: Pork Ribs in Pipián mole and Rabbit in Salsa Chile Piquín This is where local chefs send their friends! Updated review (June 3, 2022) Service has gone down hill. While the chefs enjoy their long lunch, the kitchen staff and waiters are on their own. Food is still very good…but what made this place special is gone for me. Plates not changed between courses. No bread offered. No post dinner offering (it used to be a digestive tea and house made sweets.) Inconsistent treatment of tables. Chef…please take back your dining room. Greet your guests. Make sure the details are carried through.

5 stars all the way! Every dish is by far creative and exceptional. Despite we spoke very broken spanish, our waitress was amazing. Every dish that she recommended exceeded our expectations. If I were to return to CDMX and can only have one meal, THIS is the place to be. Yes. I will take this over Pujol for sure. I know it is not the same line of restaurant but I promise you the food is much better here! And it was well worth an Uber ride away from Polanco. We met Chef Gerardo Vázquez Lugo on our way out and he was super nice also!

This is one of my favorite restaurant in Mexico City, it has everything to have a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. I tried this time the tuétano. It was delicious tasty and delicious, then I eat the sopa de fideos secos and was great. Please make your self a favor and come here have a great time, enjoy tue company and the food! Not coming here one you next visit to Mexico City will be a very bad mistake. Just take in consideration the time for the breast and lunch

I ate here with my friends and everything was very delicious, particularly the calamari dish I had. the pork belly taco was good but not amazing. I also tried this chicken dish stuffed with mushrooms and served with vegetables. The chicken was very well cooked and has great crispy skin. The portion was also quite large and I’d recommend it for two people. My friend is vegetarian and enjoyed her squash entree. Lastly for dessert, we got the arroz con leche and some cafecitos. The dessert was very balanced and not too sweet. Overall, it was worth the trip there and I would go again
