No volvería jamás.
The location is horrendous, if you do not have a car or come because you have to walk a lot to get there and the road is pure mud. The attention is very bad. We asked for ice (they gave us six cubes) and they charged us for it; 45 pesos for six ice cubes and in the store next door the whole bag cost us 25, a rude one. The restaurant is expensive and bad. I would never go back.

The place, the rooms, the view are totally worth it, but if you require an invoice for your stay, forget it they never send it to you, for more calls, messages, emails you send, in that aspect they are terrible

The place is beautiful, but the manager is really a scare: / PINK VENUS SOAP !!!! In a hotel where we pay 2,500 pesos a night, and there are soaps from the pink Venus road inn and a mess of shampoo in a little bag, the net is a shame that they do not provide a good shampoo and a good soap since it is not a hotel cheap. It also seems FATAL and INAUDE to me that at 12 noon when your stay ends, you can no longer swim or even cross the line where the pool and lounge chairs are, and you stop being a "customer". We stayed with my boyfriend for 4 nights and had breakfast, ate and even ordered food for dinner (the kitchen closes at 4pm, sure to cut costs just like the pink Venus soap that sucks!), In total we spent 6,000 pesos on breakfasts, meals and dinners, and still you can't use the pool when your stay is over. The administrator does not respond to the work watsapp, unless it suits her, but she passes it on instagram. The staff is excellent and a wonder they are very friendly and helpful, but I wish they would change the manager and put someone who is not there just to be friends with the owners, because it could be a much better place! They could put anti-mosquito plants, because as they have a lot of palm trees and coconuts, it is full of mosquitoes, much more than other hotels we visited. It is beautiful, the view, it is like having a private beach and yes you eat well, the only one but it is the administrator, sorry Raquel, I hope you realize how things work in Mexico and remember that we are not in a 5-star hotel in Miami , but in a hotel with a lot of competition in Mazunte. Very cool things: The view, the sea, the tranquility at night, the pool when you are a customer and you can use it, that there is air conditioning, the internet works very well too.

Casa Ofelia is a spectacular hotel, located in a quiet place, the best to see sunsets. The staff is friendly, the food very good, the spaces very fresh and the rooms of a good size and tastefully decorated. Personal attention is received from its owners, who are always attentive to the needs of the guests. It is within walking distance of the town (Mazunte) where you will find other options for food, entertainment and shopping. Do not miss it

The restaurant has a very small menu but the green chilaquiles and their steak are worth it. It appeared to me that they use quality ingredients but the menu was simple so we went out to eat a lot for dinner. The rooms have incredible views (I stayed in one with 2 beds) and we enjoyed the room's terrace very much. The shampoo didn't look good but I don't know why I travel a lot so I always bring it. The hot water takes time but it does get very hot. The weather does not make any noise and the room was very cold. The wifi helped me for video calls. The rooms are simple but nice and very clean. There were never more than 6-8 people in the pool so I had a good time in peace. I do think that music is lacking in the pool and surely the restaurant. I did have to look for employees sometimes when I wanted more towels but that is normal in this area I see. I liked that the beds were King Size and that the pool was always clean / without children and the truth is that it is the only option in front of the sea with a pool .. It made me a bit expensive when I booked but the room is much more beautiful in person and the terrace is more private in person. I'll be back when I have more time. The only thing I regretted was only booking 2 nights.

Large clean room. The hotel is next to the beach. It has a pool and the restaurant's food is tasty and at a good price. It is easy to get there, the road is not paved but it is accessible. It has parking inside the hotel. You can go on foot to Punta Cometa.

We loved this place! Arriving you know you have found that hidden get away spot. When we walked in and saw the beautiful Mosaic Tile head board, and spacious room surrounded by palm trees, my wife actually cried at how wonderful it looked. The rooms are big, with more than enough room for your stuff. Bathrooms are lined with colorful authentic Mexican tiles, and roomy counter space. You also have your own patio area with tables and chairs, and lounge chairs. We had a cold bottle of white wine waiting for us, so we enjoyed that as we watched the crashing waves. The pool is very nice and it's not huge resort big, but big enough to swim some laps. The pool patio area is a nice place to hang out and meet other guest, or just have your time to sleep or read. All of the staff are very nice and every day you walk into to your A/C room all clean with fresh towels and bed sheets. I got a bit of a stomach bug and did not feel good, and the kind cook made me chicken soup (not on the menu) and even brought it to me with some mint tea. They have Ice Cold beer as well and they will run you a room tab so you don't need to carry around cash. Now, here is what to prepare for, not bad marks, just be ready. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the town of Mazunte, and you have an up hill climb both ways. You can call a taxi, but they don't always come, and it's about 80-100 pesos one way. Call Carlos Ortez, he's the man! They have his number. Bring your beach umbrella. If you want to lay out, and have a shaded area you'll need to have your own. Not a swimming beach! Waves can be very rough, but seem to calm down just a little late in the afternoon. The beach area fills up with a crowd as people come to watch the sunset. And yes, people practice the nudiest way of life on the beach, but not at the hotel. Dinner menu is limited. Mostly seafood, and one chicken dish. I think some Carne Asada, beef tacos, or even a nice hamburger would give more reason to stay for dinner. Hek, a pizza oven would be fantastic. Mazunte is a different kind of town. If you are looking for the sleepy little Mexican town, this is not it. In town we felt like we were in a European Hippie commune. When you say "Buenos Dias" you usually get a blank stare or sometimes not even that. Most restaurant establishments are nice and friendly. We did notice that most were closed on Monday. We loved Casa Ofelia, not perfect, but a kind and beautiful place. Sit down with Racheal, who manages the Hotel and ask her of the history as it is a story to be told.
