Best quality food at the Iberostar!

Since the Iberostar doesn't have a listing, which I find odd. Here'smy review here. Here's some of the things we really LIKED: The first thing we noticed when we got to the hotel was the decorations, I had never seen this many decorations for a hotel, since it was around Christmas time, they had lights everywhere, a Santa hat on their sign and various trees, presents and a Santa clause around the hotel. It was all super fancy. The rooms were really nice looking and we had a view from the right side, it wasn't the full ocean view, but we only had to walk a couple feet and see all of the ocean which was a major plus. Don't stay in the rooms closest to the lobby, you won't get the amazing ocean view. Some of the things that we DIDN'T like: The first thing that my wife and I wanted to do was get into the pool, it was FREEZING. I've never been in a pool that is so cold, it was 78-85 degrees the whole time that we were at the hotel and the pool was AWFUL. We usually like walking around and enjoying ourselves throughout the day hanging from 10-4 in the pool while drinking…. We were never in the pool before 2 or 3 because the pool was awful, every person that went into the pool talked about how cold the pool was, most people would stay around the outside edges with their feet in the water because it was so cold. I don't think we'll be travelling to an Iberostar ever in the month of December. The second thing, is people smoke EVERYWHERE, why they can't do something like some of the other countries baffles my mind, but people would pull out a cigarette and smoke right next to you or upwind so that you'd get a face full of smoke. My wife and I would have to move to different locations because a group of 5 or 6 people would be smoking near the pool, one person was smoking while he was in the pool next to the entrance. The food, other than the French restaurant, was lackluster….WARNING I actually got sick from the steakhouse, I think it's because ALL of their food is cold, they usually have their appetizers and non-main meal under food lamps, I had the ribs and the chicken wings at the steakhouse and the next day I was puking throughout the whole day. I do NOT recommend eating anything that is cold there, there was actually a man with me at the steakhouse that asked them to heat up the chicken wings, since they didn't have microwaves there, they just put it on the flat top for him. I had to send back my enchiladas at the Mexican restaurant because they were cold, then the replacement enchiladas were cold on the outside. . I've read a couple reviews that said people got sick from going here, I didn't believe it but I was sick and lost a whole day because of the steakhouse restaurant. Also, sometimes you can get into a restaurant if someone cancels or no shows, which we went to the French restaurant twice, the second time we went, we didn't have reservations… they asked us to wait 10 minutes so they could get a seat ready for us, when we got seated we counted 17 OPEN TABLES, when the app said there was no spots available. Why did we have to wait then…. It baffled my mind that they weren't packed with people. We also eventually ordered room service from the hotel, which it took 30-40 minutes, we ordered the mozzarella sticks, which were FREEZING cold by the time they got to our room, my wife and I laughed cause two days later we saw another plate of mozzarella sticks outside someone's door uneaten, who brings freezing cold food? It's a health hazard. We also have to comment on the cleanliness and cleanness of the buffet, occasionally we'd go to the morning breakfast buffet and our table cloth would be dirty, have a hair, or be missing numerous silverware or coffee cups. My wife had to pick hair off the table twice, just felt like they weren't cleaning and being consistent.

The pacific express had the best quality food on the resort. The group of people I was with all enjoyed our food and dessert. The food came out in courses and didn’t have to wait long for anything. I would definitely recommend that you eat at the Pacific Express at least once while you are at the resort Dress code here is casual Make sure to book witch night and time you want supper there a head of time with one of the concierges at the front
