Got ripped off for towels. Was told 50 pesos each. Paid 200. Received only 40 back.

Great food and even better service! Guy watched our stuff for us while we swam and was super nice!

Shrimp tacos was good, got ripe off with the coconut, i was told 19 peso and i check twice ($1 issh ) then the bill came 90 (almost 4$) peso each, shrimp is 190 peso but got charge 195 peso.. then there some sort of tax which is fine, then got hit with the exchange rate of 16 peso per dollar..i know coconut price around the areas varies but i know for sure he first told me 19 peso, i suggest you double check and verified the price in number format because he claim he said ninteee not ninetiin ... i didnt argue but i just want to point that out to him.. that i understood what he doing ...

Extremely impolite staff... we stayed at the hotel Ixchel near this bar and sat down at one of the chairs around the hotel... the bar staff came to tell us we can’t sit there unless we pay... we said sorry we didn’t know (as all the chairs are blue and look alike...) and while moving our belongings... the bar staff for some reason quickly rushed closing the umbrella (not sure why he can’t wait for us to leave...) and hit my head. My bag fell and covered with sand inside but...I asked the bar staff what’s the rush closing this umbrella and he didn’t answer...he didn’t seem sorry for what he did and never apologized... I know this might be just an accident and he didn’t mean to hurt me but it’s just not how you should treat a hotel guest who’s sharing the same beach front... it’s just rude...

Terrible service and the most rude wait staff I have ever encountered. We sat down wanted to have a drink, 2 moms with two babies. We have had lunch already. We wanted to have a coffee and a smoothie. They made us leave because someone else might want the table. Greed

The massages at palapa Leidy are amazing!! The ladies here took excellent care with my partner and I. They asked the pressure you like, made you comfortable, and delivered the best massage I have had in YEARS! I’m a professional, certified massage therapist in the United States and I took some techniques away from this massage that i would like to implement into my own practice. I asked for strong pressure and they delivered, using deep tissue, Swedish, and even some sports/stretching techniques. We will return anytime we are staying at ixchel hotel for massages here. It would be worth your time to seek them out if you are looking for a good massage on isla mujeres.
