★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has it all. The guide will take you around their farm to show you how their mezcal is made and afterwards you get to taste them (250mxn).
We took 2 bottles home

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We just showed up at one of the times listed for a tour hoping they would take us and they did. They also make a great limoncello and gin which we bought. We came from Oaxaca taking a collectivo to Tlacolula and then another to Santiago Matalan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a wonderful time at Gracias a Dios! We learned so much about the mezcal making process and saw so much we had never seen before. Our guide, Emmy, was great and was able to answer all of our questions. The tastings were spectacular. Would highly recommend making the trip out here. They also have an Airbnb there apparently where you can stay if you wanted!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very happy I did exactly this distillery .
They are very sustainable and make quite a lot of different products including gins and the unique whiskey. Sounds weird for mezcaleria but all the products are really good quality. Emmy is a great guide 5th generation mezcal producer, so obviously very knowledgeable and awesome storyteller. Highly recomended !!! Honestly seeingat potential in this palinque. There are collectivos passing by the main road near the building also , if you don’t want to spend extra money for taxis .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome facility and great tour by Emmy. Emmy is knowledgeable, funny and made the experience perfect. We were able to taste some of the rarer mezcals, like GAD Sierra Negra, which we purchased and it's excellent! We highly recommend a visit to this distillery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience. The distillery is at the perfect time in its history: big and old enough to create a great brand, focused on innovation, sustainability and community.
Several of its mezcals and gins won international awards, yet it still really feels like a family run, small scale company.
I recommend you go now because they are expanding each year and in the future they might get bought out by some larger company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great trip visiting GAD! Hired a taxi to drive us there, wait for us and bring us back, and gave us the freedom to make stops along the way (about 250 pesos per hour), and plan for about an hour of driving each way with at least an hour at the tasting and tour. We enjoyed seeing where the agave is grown, roasted, crushed and distilled and even tried it as it was coming out of the still. They also make a few guns with their agave which were delicious as well. Recommend that you make a reservation for a tasting.
