Pancho Villa - 77765 Tulum

Great restaurant in front of the beach! We had tacos & nachos. I would suggest to skip the nachos and order a ceviche instead, they look great and you are also given totopos as a free starter! We had drinks, margaritas are awesome! We stayed there for a while. The only thing we didn’t like is that they have 2 points of music (one by the beach entrance and one by the bar where a dj was playing) and when you are sitting in the hammocks you can listen to both. I would suggest to stop the other music so we can all enjoy the DJ!

Amazing beachfront resturant with delicious entres and drinks! The staff was hustling NON-Stop. True servers who work as a team to deliver top tier items at impressive speeds. We loved our shrimp nachos and mezcal drinks. A storm was developing off the shore and we saw the immediate efforts that went into place to create shelter seating for those on the beach and even though they got packed with guests their spirits were high and they even danced as they served in the rain. Truly a fun one of a kind experience. (Price range is competitive for the prices you will see along the beach. We chose this location over all the other beachfront restaurants because they aesthetic was nicer and the price range for the drinks we wanted were slightly lower!)

beautiful & tranquil environment w/ excellent music. we had a late lunch feast & loved everything: fish tacos, shrimp ceviche, fries, & a garlic fish platter. we also had great service from our waiter, azul. & i was very happy w/ my (much larger than elsewhere on the beach's) mezcalita.

Fun spot on the beach. Mezcal drinks were decent and the portion size of the ceviche was very generous. Did take about 30 minutes to get the check, but can’t really complain when you’re looking out at the water. FYI - they do automatically include tip before asking if you want to add one though. ??‍♂️

Very scammy vibe here. Ordered guacamole and chicken quesadillas during their happy hour. Were told there was a buy one get one promotion for drinks, for 250 pesos, so we ordered a set. Had to ask for chips for the guacamole as they literally gave us only 4 chips. Food was good, can't complain there. Once the bill came though the waiter had tacked on another set of drinks, 300 pesos each, and 15% tip. He sheepishly admitted fault of the drinks, like a child getting caught in a lie. Once I went to the cashier to get it changed, I just wanted to get out of there. Just paid for everything including the ridiculous tip. For 2 drinks, guacamole and 3 chicken tacos, the bill came close to 900 pesos. Initially they tried to bill us 1250 pesos. Cannot stress enough the scummy vibes here, save your money and have a better experience in literally any other restaurant. I get the tourist hustle, but I've only ever seen it either with crazy prices or extra items added to the bill, but never both. Very disappointing

Overall a very nice beach club with good food and quick service, but its was a group of guest who played high music on their own music box. Pancho Villa already had nice music playing, and it was annoying with two different kind of music going on. When we asked the staff if they could ask the group to stop/lower their music the staff did not do anything... It was also several other guest that was annoyed about this situation.

The prices are fair! Great food. We ate the guacamole which was nice and creamy and had a great flavor! Very very rich portion. We also tried the shrimp fajitas.. so much food. Perfectly cooked vegetables, shrimps and a flavorful salad. Amazing sauces - especially the pineapple one! Also friendly service - compared to the others you can choose how much tip you give! Would totally recommend this place!!

We tried the beach restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. Prices are a bit higher but it’s understandable since you’re at front beach. The portions were very generous, the ingredients fresh and everything was delicious. Staff was very attentive and also they have cute dogs they shelter, we loved that. ?
