Reception employee Helber tried charging us extra for a room with ocean when he had paid for garden view but the resort ran out of garden view so they ended up having to put us in an ocean view room but this employee knew he had no choice but to make these arrangements for same price but first he tried charging us 900.00 extra and others in our party also went through this and he was trying to charge them 500.00 pesos and 800.00 pesos. That was not right

The Italian night dinner at the buffet restaurant was amazing. They had a section for dinner specifically for kids. Service was above and beyond specially Gonzalo our waiter.

We had a really good time all the staff is fun and friendly. Alfredan/Elfredan (idk if I spelled that right) the bartender at the the late night dance was awesome and made our night super fun he gets 5 stars, dile que le dije hola y muchas gracias! .. Only 4 stars because the food gets a little repetative and is kinda bland sometimes also this a time share place so be ready for that..

I struggle to write this due to difficulty separating what is covid related, supply chain management issues & what thoughts are coming from a privileged point of view. This was my 1st time to Ixtapa & about my 15th time to Mexico. This was the smallest & least known brand of resort I've stayed at. I rate this a 2.5 of 5 stars primarily because of the noise & the food. This resort is geared to Mexican families, not international travelers. On the resort, there were about 5 non-Mexican families. Most families had kids & it seemed like many extended families came to vacation. Everything is in Spanish. Often for entertainment shows at other resorts, the announcer will use both Spanish & English, however, not here. The shows were often geared towards the kids, so even though the non-Spanish families didn't understand the language, the shows were not complex (i.e. circus, Disney) & translated well through the actions of the talented performers. All of the guests we saw seemed friendly. Since the Wi-Fi (free) was strong at the resort, including our room, we could use google translate when there were language issues. The resort was running at about 40% capacity apparently. The place was very clean & staff were all wearing masks and meticulously cleaning. There were many hand sanitizing stations & guests had to wear a mask in buffet areas as well as wear a single disposable plastic glove. The kid's club was closed, but the resort had outdoor activities arranged for the children (friendship bracelets, painting, etc.). There was one a la carte restaurant (Italian) & one buffet open at a time as well as the pool side snack bar that had a few items. The food situation was limited. The buffet lacked common items that other resorts offer (bacon, sausage, guacamole, cappuccino machines, gluten free breads, etc.). I personally don't eat dairy or wheat so it was a struggle. Obviously, I travel with supplementary foods and medications to be prepared for these things but I was surprised at the few foods that were being offered. Being in Mexico, I was shocked that guacamole was only offered for one meal & salsa on a few occasions for the entire week as these are usually my "go to's". All of the salad dressings were milk based. On a few occasions, there was oil & vinegar but most times not. The lunch buffet was the best meal of the day as it offered more salad bar items and the Italian (according to my spouse) was the best food in the resort. Our room overlooked the pool/ocean & had a beautiful view of the Mexican sunsets. The room was basic, a bit dated but clean. There were a few items missing from our room & the resort delivered them asap to us. There was no bathtub or fridge or ice buckets. The TV station had very few English channels aside from CNN & occasionally one movie channel. The king-sized bed in our room was very comfortable & the air conditioning worked well. The noise at this resort was so loud. The layout of most of the rooms is ocean/pool view. In front of these rooms is the pool which means loudspeaker announcements all day, the lounge which has a band that likes to use cowbells in the evening until 9pm, the stage for the performances which starts at 9pm, and most importantly, the disco which goes until 2 am. Literally until 2 am you hear thumping from the disco. Everyone we spoke with were exhausted from being kept up all night. I'm not sure who was going to the disco as most of the people at the resort were families. On day 3, we found a pharmacy that sold earplugs (beside Domino's pizza). One family had read about the noise & brought a white noise machine. The beach had a gorgeous view, but it was extremely wavy & not suitable for most people to swim in. It was fun to frolic at the shore. There were 2 pools to cool off in. There were many beach umbrellas to stay out of the direct sun. Finally, the resort staff were just amazing. Every single staff we encountered was very friendly & helpful which was wonderful to see.

Great time. Eduardo with the entertainment department was phenomenal. He made the entire week memorable for our two year old son. Our son absolutely loved him and looked forward to swimming and seeing him everyday. The entire entertainment department was amazing and made the trip worth every penny! Thank you team!
