★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hola Victor Domínguez, este recinto es La Parroquia de San Esteban Protomartir, y es a éste mismo santo a quien esta dedicada.
Fue edificada a finales del siglo XVI por Frailes Franciscanos y posteriormente por Frailes Dominicos
Consiste en una planta en forma de cruz latina con una sola nave, ábside y dos transeptos donde se adoran a diversos santos
Su cúpula octogonal, su campanario y retablos del orden barroco se colocaron un siglo después, la parroquia ha pasado por varias etapas de construcción, hasta obtener lo que hoy apreciamos
Sin duda este recinto religioso es un ejemplo real de la sencillez y elegancia arquitectónica colonial de la cual la gente de Tepetlixpa debe estar orgullosa
Ahhhhh! Cuando estén ahí admiren su atrio espacioso, sus arcos de piedra y el mirador hacia el Cerro del Chiquihuite y si tienen suerte a su costado izquierdo el Volcán Popocatépetl.

Hello Victor Domínguez, this site is La Parroquia de San Esteban Protomartir, and it is this same saint to whom it is dedicated.
It was built in the late sixteenth century by Franciscan friars and later by Dominican friars
It consists of a plant in the shape of a Latin cross with a single nave, apse and two transepts where various saints are worshiped
Its octagonal dome, its bell tower and altarpieces of the Baroque order were placed a century later, the parish has gone through various stages of construction, until obtaining what we appreciate today
Without a doubt, this religious site is a real example of the simplicity and colonial architectural elegance that the people of Tepetlixpa should be proud of.
Ahhhhh! When you are there admire its spacious atrium, its stone arches and the viewpoint towards Cerro del Chiquihuite and if you are lucky on your left side the Popocatépetl Volcano.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La plazuela es muy vistosa. Se puede ver el popo. Solo que esta muy sucia. La Iglesia también está muy descuidada. Hay mucha basura por todos lados y envases tirados. Podría mejorar
