★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pemex is government owned. Rented a scooter. Needed gas. Stopped here. Many, many “attendants” milling about. They all came running. They insist they pump gas. They insist on credit. I say, no, cash only. Then they bring a hose that originates from another pump. They insist they have no way to make change. I owe about $6. They want a $20. I give them a 5 + two 1s. Then we are directed to leave as we are blocking the tarmac. Like being forced into a 3 card monte game on the street in NYC. Petty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped at this location to fill up our rental car. It was a much better experience than at another location last week. The young gentleman zeroed the meter, confirmed I wanted regular, and I wanted it filled. He carefully cleaned our windshield. I asked for a receipt and he gladly obliged. He even asked me to write out how to say “receipt” or “recibo” so he could learn it. I paid in cash with pesos which is always best. A good experience and no problems.

They charged me for more than 3 times what I needed to pay and said they didn't take the card while they have the card reader

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a car while in Cozumel. Needed to top up the gas about three times during the rental. Used this location once and was very happy with the service and speed so used it for all remaining fill ups! I had read reviews about tourists getting ripped off so as soon as I pulled up to the pump the attendant pointed me to, I always got out of the car and stood there. The attendant always made it a point to tell me that he had zeroed out the meter before pumping gas. Service was professional and prompt. Was in and out within minutes each time. Paid in pesos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Getting gas for the 1st time in Mexico is confusing enough. And if you don't pay attention at this place they will give you premium gas which I didn't want.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After our scooter trip on the Island, we wanted to refil the scooter before return.
The filled up a couple of liters Petrol and when finnished tanking the amount on the display changed.
We saw that the Employee did this whit a button on the side of the gas pump, when we told him this he released it and we saw the price jumping back to the actual amount.
We paid that price and drove away.
They try to scam tourist be aware.
