About Pier Fernando Celada

Not crowded nor noisy at all. Better views.

Everyone was nice! We were the last people to board, it was in the dusk and it seemed sketchy but it was actually really beautiful.

The entrance to the embarkation is free. Your price per ride varies on the route preferred and who you choose to do the trip for you. There's also a collective boat that comes out a lot cheaper per person. Lok out for these.

Well... As a person that has always lived in Xochimilco, is hard for me to say that people has became meaner as time has passed and traveling on a trajinera is not as safe as before. Be very careful with all the rowers at any of the piers from Xochimilco.

This pier is less busy than the rest, and you can still access the same services of the fun Xochimilco experience. We had a wonderful time. The patrons will go out of their way to provide anything you need (food, liquor, music, snacks... You name it!) and the trip is nice and interesting. Absolutely reccomended!

Was very disappointed. I really thought this was a beatiful place. Water is very contaminated. It's nice on the part where you can drink alcohol but the negative is where do you go to the restrooms. Not a nice view just cows , birds and tall grass every where. I did love the flowers.

Ok ok. This place is beyond amazing. When you first arrive you will more than likely be hassled by locals trying to sell you tickets. But skip them and go straight to the boats, once there you will grab a tour for about 500 Mexican pesos per hour. But you can call in advance and get 20% off. A must see trust me. You will learn alot about mesoamerican religions and life style. You will also learn how they propagate the lands in the lagoon. All while taking the sweetest boat ride down the canal. Think of it as the Mexican Venice.

Even before you arrive at the floating gardens there will be people knocking on your Uber/taxi window trying to sell you on a tour of Xochimilco. None of them were on the side of the floating gardens, they must not be allowed to cross the street. Just walk to the boat area and ignore everyone else trying to sell to you. We went to the ticket window and were directed to a gentlemen with red hat and red shirt that briefly gave us information, asked how long of a tour we wanted, 1 hour (500 pesos), 2 hours (1000 pesos) etc. He called over one of the boat guys and that gentlemen led us down to the boat and was very nice. We didn’t have to pay anything until we got back. Along the way a boat pulled up besides us that was selling Corona for $40 pesos, delicious chicken and cheese quesadillas for $35 each, and waters for $30. Our “guide” kept pushing both boats along as they cooked the food right in front of us. My only regret was not ordering more food. The boat goes along somewhat slow, but it’s very quiet along the way with just nosies from animals and the occasional backyard stereo system. We did not have pesos after buying food, but we ended up just paying/tipping a little extra in USD for the ride and it was around 750 pesos with food for 3 people and the 1 hour tour. Pros: Food along the way, very peaceful, lots of wildlife. Cons: Very little English spoken here, they just need some sort of official information /ticket booth somewhere near to make things a little more comfortable, the water/some houses along the waterway were a little dirty.
