Playa Azul Beach Club - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

Ehhhhh. Food is expensive. They wouldn’t allow for umbrellas on the beach because of “wind”. There was no wind. The place next door had theirs open. The waiter was pushy at the end and told me three times while giving me the check that tip wasn’t included and then seemed disappointed in the 15% tip he received that wasn’t deserved. Rude. The beach is really rocky, not great for swimming. The water was calm. The live music was WAYY TOO LOUD. My husband and I couldn’t hear each-other talking out on the beach. Would go to a different beach club next time.

Visited for snorkeling, it was not bad. You can swim to the right along the shore, you can see some coral and fishes. The beach was beautiful, great place for chilling. The food I got was unfortunately super spicy.

Our first time at Playa Azul Beach Club. My wife and I have been going to Cozumel for over 30 years, without a doubt it is one of our favorite places to vacation and relax in the Caribbean, Charming people proud of their culture and history! We decided to visit Playa Azul Beach Club on a Wednesday and check out the hotel for future visits. We paid an entrance charge of $20.00 to get in, no problem with this as I realize a business has to generate revenue to operate plus this fee could be applied to food and drinks. We noticed after a few hours there were no waiters coming by our beach chairs so I headed up to the bar to get us a couple of drinks as it was getting hot outside. I was informed by a manager that we could not order from the bar and had to inform a waiter what we wanted, OK no waiter came by and after quite some time I wandered over to the Hotel Bar beside the beach club to get a couple drinks. The staff at the Hotel Bar informed me that I could not order anything there since we had a beach club wristband on and were not hotel guests! OK back to beach and wait on waiter to come by and inform us that we could not order any drinks without ordering food! This was the final straw for us and we decided to leave and walk over to Buccanos Beach Club where we were welcomed and treated very graciously. After our experience at Playa Azul we will never stay at Playa Azul hotel or beach club ever ..never!

This place was nice. The food was decent. Our server was outstanding! She ran all day and kept our drinks full and kept the food coming. I would say the drinks were good if you wanted to get drunk but were overpowering if you just wanted to sip. The beach was pretty and the pool was refreshing. I think the price was a little expensive for what was offered.

Very rocky black. Not sure if I will come back to this location.althougj there are many other activities. Zip line, snorkeling and beach activities. There's also restaurant and bar for a fee..

We have come here 3 times when in port for a cruise. We always love it how peaceful it is and the value. No cover charge and we drink/eat all day for a very reasonable price while sitting under an umbrella. Nice little snorkeling spot also. Overcast right now so photos aren’t the best.

Playa Azul was beyond accommodating for my wedding vacation. We had 46 guests total, children included and they made sure we were all taken care of throughout the week we were there. The food is incredible, the service staff was so friendly and it was easy navigating to and from downtown Cozumel as well! What a pleasure it was to have our wedding with them!! My husband and I will be back for years to come to celebrate our anniversary! ❤️

We visited this beach off one of our cruises. It had free parking and no charge to use the beach as long as you ate at the restaurant. It was very nice. We enjoyed food and drinks. The prices were very reasonable. The beach was not huge but had everything you needed. Snorkeling right off the beach was cool for the entire family. We are headed back to Cozumel soon and hopefully we will have another fun day here. I will update my review and see if they now charge as I’ve seen in some posts. I hope not
