In this Blog we will be sharing different lodging options we offer at Hotel Playa Bonita Resort. We will start with the “Deluxe” and Plus Family Room. This room features 2 queen beds and a futon that becomes a bed. The “Standard” service has capacity for 2 adults and 2 children, under 11 years old. The “Plus” service has capacity for up to 4 adults and 1 child under 11. It has a mini-fridge to keep your favorite drinks cold, or store a dinner to enjoy the next morning. It also has a microwave, television with cable service, and the best thing is its balcony with sea views.

We have 2 pools with sea views, one of them with a wading pool so your little ones can also enjoy. There is direct access to the beach, but not just any beach. The beach in front of the hotel is certified, meaning we can guarantee the sand your family is enjoying is clean. We will talk about how important this is, and the hard work it took to achieve this certification, at another time.
Our Restaurant / Bar “Puesta del Sol” is located to one side of the hotel. Its ample outdoor space allows you to enjoy one of the most extraordinary views while savoring exquisite local, national or international cuisine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great vacation resort right on the beach with comfortable beds and a great restaurant and nice swimming pools. However, on certain nights of the week there is too much noise coming from the pool area too late at night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rude customer service ? and they didn't have running water. And at the restaurant they were still serving food . I don't know how when they didn't have water that day. And the toilet in the restaurant was filthy. . It's very sad because they have very good location to get to the beach ⛱️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is the only good thing, rooms are old and need a lot of work, balcony lock didn't work, shower only worked half way could not made the upper shower work entirely, old dirty shower and towels felt like sand paper, the beds are very uncomfortable (back aches) old and the coil springs are either worn-out or are popping up, paint is peeling on walls and frames, this room isn't a $190 per night, I feel ripped off. Next time for $25 dollars more I will rent a condo in front of the ocean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The exterior is super nice and clean, and for the most part the hospitality staff is all friendly and try their best to communicate with you, HOWEVER per previous review from other guest... security is ridiculous!!! I do understand the concern for safety but it's like they set out and look for people with the wristbands to harass.... every where you walk there is a ninja security waiting to ask you for the wrist band. My husband lit a cigarette out on the sand parking lot outside and before we knew it we had 2 security guards asking us to come to the lobby... but not in English. We were confused at what was happening. Then we were asked to leave stating they allowed no smoking any where on the premisis... we were in shock! Like wow were being asked to leave for smoking a cigarette!!! But to be honest it was probably better!! We wound up staying across the way at another non resort non wristband needing place. It was super nice! Way more accommodating, with reasonable security so we will felt safe on the premisis!!! Not worth the money to be harrased every where you go. Spend less elsewhere and actually enjoy the stay without stalker security every corner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I, enjoyed our stay. It was wonderful showing my mother-in-law the restaurants, and beach, but most of all the charm of the ambiance. Being waited on with a sincere friendliness, that we had, nearly forgotten, really does exist. Can't wait to book our next getaway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Good the Bad and the Ugly:
Good was affordable rates next to a decent restaurant with good food and has beach access. House keeping staff was awesome, made our bed, swept sand from the floors (sorry about that hope the tip made up for it) and above all, very friendly!!
The bad was “security” harassing us constantly for our wrist bands (it is NOT an all inclusive resort, so wrist bands are absurd), the hallways echo constantly and very noisy everywhere, the bathroom fans are all connected cause it smelled like someone pooped in our bathroom after being gone for 8 hours, the TVs do not allow for screen mirroring (so be sure to know Spanish or the TV is background noise at best), and the 1990s AC unit is super loud.
The ugly is warm to cold shower water (may be lack of enough hot water volume in the hot water heaters, but who has 4 hours to wait for hot water), NO box springs on the beds?!! Every morning it hurt getting up from zero bed support. Just for basic essentials like a comfortable bed and hot water not being available that’s a no bueno on returning.
