★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful, charming and restful place to stay! The markets are across the square and the lake is just a few blocks away. The hotel is run by a lovely couple and breakfast is excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful property. And extremely friendly and supportive hosts. A gorgeous garden and inviting lobby. Rooms are as described - genteel and understated. They are simple, in decor, but extremely comfortable and peaceful. The made-to-order breakfast was very convenient. Just over a block from the waterfront and overlooking the plaza with a great mercado and cafes on the other side. I definitely recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok so the hotel look itself might be very pretty and upscale in decor, but between NO parking and the noise when you UPGRADE to the king suite it's insane! I don't know what's louder, the street or the main hallway just outside your room! If you wanted to have a good romp everyone would hear you, this place sucks for charging more for this room... never again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay here in December. Beautiful, relaxing and right downtown in Chapala. The whole hotel was lovely, the beds comfy, spotlessly clean and the staff were fabulous. Ivan, the owner, speaks fluent English. The staff not so much but they are totally lovely and we always managed to communicate with smiles, laughter and a bit of charades.
