★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nowhere near as good as in the USA... the sandwich bun was dry, the chicken wasn’t spicy, and even the pickles didn’t taste quite right... but the big reason I’m giving 1 star is because they don’t have red beans and rice on the menu... this is not only their best side BY FAR, but beans and rice of course fit in Mexico culturally and culinarily... not to mention, offering red beans and rice would provide a differentiator against the already well entrenched rival KFC... just a really, really stupid decision, and I personally will never visit again until they add red beans and rice to the menu...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No red beans and rice and no dirty rice. This is like McDonald’s not having fries. The sides were always the main reason to choose Popeye’s over KFC, but now their sides are the same as KFC (and not even as good). In short, don’t waste your time or money. There’s probably a KFC closer to you anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of you gringos need to understand this is not the USA and I'm American and saying this. The chicken is not terrible at all, it just doesn't have the same "Cajun Flavor" you are looking for. If that's what your seeking in Popeyes in Mexico I have to laugh. The apple pie was solid and the I actually enjoy the biscuits and the fries taste just like back home. Viva Mexico!
